@Shiprex they are trying but as was said years ago, if you think that is going to stop the assault then you just don't understand. I heard left people here saying that and they were clearly wrong. Absent Trump, they will fight this until there is no ukraine left and Europe is sucked into the void.
Trump is trying to stop it by resettling back to some line. I know some dislike that approach and there's longer term risks to that, so be it, take your picks as to right and wrong.
if you were in line to go to that front line, you'd want someone to draw a line.

Trump isn't doing it though. He's playing at gaining from it like it's FOR HIM and he's creating more chaos while there was already a simple way to end it by accepting Ukraine into NATO and EU then kicking the arse of the Soviets and NK back to where they belong. Once Putin is gone Russia can become a stable democracy after the decades of pressure and clean it's act up to join the world as a civilised democracy that runs on RULE OF LAW, and democratic principles.
Trump is behaving like he's Xi Jing Ping of China instead of a grown up democratic LAW ABIDING member of the free world.

If I were to be in that front line as a citizen of a country with a border with Russia I WOULD WANT all countries NATO to behave like a grown up instead of a petulant infant threatening allies and neighbours with idiotic concepts and infantile demands and put BOOTS on the ground, MINE included.

@Shiprex you just showed the plan for this whole mess and why it started... to aggitate russia into a war and ruin putin, for a democratic reset. That IS and was the plan. Its revolting to some, costing ukranians their hearts and souls of their youth. There was no need for this war if Europe and especially USA had responded to the issues Putin was complaining about months and years prior. That's why Putin so pissed and difficult to stop, his give a damn broke. Trump is doing what he can do to put the two sides into corners, the weaker one first. Throwing a strong man into a corner is more difficult. You are beyond sick in my view. I'll give you credit though you have a strategic view as did those whom started this mess, clearly instigated within the US Govt to bring about change in east Europe. I only wish the bodies of all those soldiers could be ground up into soylent green and fed to those that instigated this suffering.
