What would Trump do about the situation in the Ukraine?

- He would have used the 120 days the president is allowed to take military action on his own. The law allows a sitting president to deploy troops up to 120 days on a combat mission without an official declaration of war from Congress if U. S. citizens, troops or allies are in direct danger as a result of actions from an enemy. However, the scope of that mission would only be to eliminate immediate threats to evacuation.
Since the U. S. is part of NATO and Ukraine is the buffer zone between Russia and a NATO member, the "U. S. citizens, troops or allies" part is satisfied. The president cannot use this law as long as Russia is only staging troops at the Russia/Ukraine border. However, as soon as Russia invades, this law kicks in due to the threat of Russia passing through Ukraine to be able to attack a NATO nation. If Ukraine WAS a NATO member then the president would already have the full conditions met to use this law.
Even under those circumstances, the mission MUST cease if the president has not secured authorization from Congress within 120 days. In that case troops on this mission must be sent away from the conflict. Is this still revelant?

- Probably exactly what happened when Russian "mercenaries" entered into a part of Syria that the US very openly established as a deconfliction zone: utterly annihilated the unit in the span of a couple minuts. Russia's "mercenaries" never came anywhere near the US ever again for the rest of Trump's presidency. Trump was much less of an interventionist than Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr or Reagan, but if he drew a line in the sand, it actually meant something.
I'm using quotes because Russia claimed to disavow the soldiers involved in that incident as something to the effect of "military men on leave looking to make extra money," and if anyone actually believes that story, I'd be happy to part with some beachfront property in Arizona.
Most likely the situation happening in Ukraine right now wouldn't be happening right now at all if Trump was in office, and they'd wait for the next US election cycle to start pushing boundaries. Is this still revelant?

731- I couldn't hear Trump say that. He's not THAT ballsy. Openly threatening Russia is pretty foolish. However, I do think Putin respected Trump enough not to rock the boat. Not that I'm supporting Putin. Just saying he wouldn't mess with Trump, while pretty much any world leaders sees Biden as a clown and puppet not to be taken seriously (lest you forget he literally sh*t his pants in front of the Pope). I'm unsure what Trump would actually do against Ukraine though, if Putin dared pulled this crap with Trump in office.React

- He might even have brokered a peace deal, the way he did between Israel and 6 formerly hostile Arab Gulf nations. For that, he really *did* deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. But of course he was not even nominated, whilst the Obamunist received one, for doing nothing but continuing the Bush policies and having more drone strikes. Kind of says something doesn't it...React

You notice how all these liberals gotta talk shit anonymously 🤣🤣🤣except one woman. It never ceases to amaze me how blind they are and the cowardice in their actions. I mean how can you live through Trumps presidency and Biden’s 1st year and not wake up to the game that got played on the whole nation. Stupid people glad they are on their way out.
- Good luck at destroying the biggest country in the world and that has the biggest nuclear arsenal in the world. They'd surely sit and wait us destroy their country and would not send their almost 7k nukes to destroy every inch of the US territory... /s

- Probably nothing, since the Ukraine President didn't get enough shit for him on the Biden's to win the election. That's how he'd see it. He'd say "It's just an annexation. We used to do it all the time".React

- People don''t seem to understand that Russia- as a means of (proposed) conquest- has to be patient. Commies knew they wouldn't go anywhere with Reagan, so they just waited out the term to (hopefully) get a more liberal POTUS. If Trump were in there, Russia would just wait out another term before re-engaging others.React

Why would he cause too many problems for a useful idiot he helped tried to get elected?
He wouldn't, however, that wasn't the case. Im not going through a comprehensive list, but to name a few:
¹ he specifically downplayed US intelligence agencies when it came to Russian activities. Undermining our confidence in our own citizens and personally painting Putin in a positive light when it came to things like Russian bounties to Taliban members in Afghanistan.
² He also okayed the Russian invasion and takeover of Crimea in the Ukraine.
³ he suggested Russia was innocent of hacking US property and encouraged them "if they were" to give him information on his political opponents
⁴ he shared classified information with Russian officials
⁵ he tried to weaken US standing with NATO
⁶ and he tried to suggest bringing Russia back into the G7
And this was just a small list of the things he did specifically to be an apologist and useful idiot for Putin. He did WAY more than just these.- Show All Show Less

@Ez-Bri-Z what is really funny, is that term, "useful idiots" was coined by the left and media to belittle anyone that thought the Hunter Biden story was true or should at least be investigated. They looked YOU straight in the eye and lied! "Russian misinformation"! Of course after the election they laughed at you for falling for their b. s. Who were the real useful idiots?
Wrong. The term has been around since at least the 1940s-1950s and was used to describe social democrats being useful idiots for working with Italian communists in some of the first known writing.
Also, way to try and deflect from my points by doing the same thing the media tries to do. Can't make an argument, point at Biden. Democrats can't make a point, look at Trump.I said he okayed it. I didn't say it happened on his watch. He tried to ensure there were no sanctions placed on Russia for them invading and in fact suggested the same Kremlin talking points of how people in that area wanted to be a part of Russia.

@Ez-Bri-Z Trump never okayed anything. All he did, when asked a question, was say Crimea has to be recognized as a part of Russia since Obama let them take it over. Also, Trump had the toughest sanctions against Russia than any other president. Remember, he stopped their pipeline? He also bombed a Syrian airfield used by Russia while Russians were there! Again, what did Russia gain by having Trump elected? How many countries were they poised to invade?
- it would have never been a issue in the first place. He would have negotiated a good gas pipeline deal that would benefit everyone involved and kept russia and ukraine at peace.React
