It amazes me that Republicans will spin any situation to fit their narrative. This time, they're ranting that Biden didn't quickly shoot down the balloon. Biden's caution seems reasonable. What's the rush? Why shoot the balloon down over the continent? That would put people on the ground at risk when it's a matter of time before it can be safely popped over the ocean.

Republicans make no mention of the three balloons that were spotted during the Trump administration.

It turns out that the story that there were 3 Chinese balloons during the Trump administration was a lie. Every time Biden creates another disaster he either tries to blame it on Trump or else he says that Trump did it too. In this case it is a complete fabrication.

There is not a single shred of evidence or confirmation that their claim is true. But I saw the balloon. And the Chinese pissed their pants when we shot down an enemy aircraft in our airs space.

I can't critize him for when he gave order to shoot down balloon, caution probably warranted given not long ago they wiped out a whole Afghan family, by accident. I question shooting it down at all the way they did.
Unfortunately our society is filled with opinionated "arm chair quarterbacks", that have never thrown a ball, and firmly rooted on opposing sides.

I was never a fan. I never watched the Apprentice. When he was running for president I didn't know what to think about it. I did listen to what he had to say and a lot of it was the stuff I had been talking about for the last 20 years. Energy independence, encouraging manufacturing, secure borders, re visiting foreign trade policies and others. I figured that if he only got one or two things done it would be better than Hillery that probably would have just gone down the same wrong road that Obama did. Once I started to see the results of many of Trump's policies it was really the only time I thought the average working American had real representation in Washington.

He could have been a success if he didn't purposely divide us. That's why he lost. I had hope for him during his first term. Especially after the school shooting when he suggested stronger gun laws. Then he caved like a pussy to the NRA and everything after sucked. He became a climate change denying, COVID denying, election denying, insurrectionist. Unforgivable.

He did not divide the country, he did his best to bring it together. He has got the Hispanic vote and had the highest percentage of th eblsack vote by any Republican in history. He made opportunities for people of all demographics and as a result when he was president there was the greatest wage growth across all demographics.
Giving government bailouts to farmers but only farmer of color did not do much to unite the country. Neither did forgiving loans to students but not people with home mortgages.

I am currently a Systems Administrator at a medical supply company. Before that I was teaching Computer Science at a local college. Do you have a job?
Trump called people names but they were personal and usually spot on. Biden calls half the country a threat to democracy. He and actually Obama purposely divided the country into people who are dependent on the government against the people that pay the bills.

yes if you don't mind working for minimum wage for some fast food place. The manufacturing sector has been shedding jobs for the last 2 years. The tech industry is now losing jobs by the thousand. I lost my teaching position because of covid and it took me over a year to find something that paid well and did not involve wearing a paper hat.

My kids all live here and my wife will never leave them. Years ago when I was changing careers I interviewed at NASA and supposedly was on the "short list" to be a network engineer. My fife did not want to move to Florida because she has a close family, which is the exact opposite to me.
