It's 4chan and the internet everyone makes stupid threats like this they don't intend to carry out, I've said much worse than this over years. He didn't have a gun or a weapon and didn't have any intention of actually carrying out a threat to that pig sheriff.

Bruh... even if we could identify mentally ill people who may or may not mean actual harm to others, I still am not comfortable just grabbing people either in public or their homes and arresting them because they "may" start a shooting, we're not some faggot European or commonwealth country. I'd rather honestly let tragedies happen and then go after the person so their online and legal past activities can be used as evidence for prosecution. Arresting someone because you suspect they are a threat opens the door for unnecessary authoritarian actions.
