Where were you when you heard the news?

There are historical events that happen that are so important that you never forget where you were when you heard about them. The assassination of JFK, The explosion of the Space Shuttle Columbia, the bombing of the World Trade Center on 9/11 and even when OJ Simpson was being pursued by police in his White Bronco.

Where were you when you heard about the assassination attempt on President Trump?

I was outside and a neighbor told me. I yawned and continued water my plants.

There is nothing historical about it. I think people don't realize just how often this happens. The difference this time is that it was caught on video.

Every president has multiple attempts or planned attempts on his life. You just don't hear about them. If you count presidents, vice presidents and candidates, there have been at least 30 in my lifetime. It wouldn't surprise me if there have been hundreds, or even thousands, of plans that are thwarted.

I didn't hear about it until a few hours after it happened. I was sitting in my home office, watching YouTube videos when an interesting one popped up.

I'm not sure near-misses like this will end up being remembered with "Where were you when..."

I was vacuuming my car while listening to the radio. They interrupted the station at the same time my boyfriend was calling me from out of town, I was torn on whether or not I should continue listening to the special report or answer my phone! lol I chose to answer my phone and was told by my boyfriend. I was kind of shocked. I just found it hard to believe someone with a rifle could get that close

I was in college when I heard about 9/11. I had just gotten up and my dorm mate told me to turn on the TV. So I did.

As far as former president Trump, Google had an article plastered 50 min after it happened. Just had to open my web browser.
