If you look behind the numbers in the February jobs report released today you will see a seismic shift that is being ignored by the media. It's far more important than the news headlines indicated.

While employment for native-born workers increased by an astonishing 284,000 in February, IN SPITE OF THE GOVERNMENT LAYOFFS, the number of jobs held by foreign workers decreased by 87,000.

Americans are getting their jobs back! THIS should be the REAL headline.

How can they have the jobs number for illegal aliens? Hiring them is illegal and besides they usually work off the books so they do not lose their welfare benefits.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics do include illegal alien workers. But they do noting about enforcing immigration law even when they know they are illegally in the country. They have ways of obtaining the statistics. So the foreign workers numbers include both legal and illegal foreigners.

I think they probably are pretty accurate but also probably not perfect. They have ways of verifying the information so it's not completely just taking someone's word for something.
