as long as he's hot, y'all make excuses for him

Meanwhile when photos of Thomas Matthew Crooks (the boy who almost assassinated Trump) and Tyler Robinson made it to the internet, the Left immediately denounced them because they were too unattractive. Thomas Matthew Crooks looks like an incel so the Left immediately framed him as a Republican, same goes for Tyler Robinson

feminists almost celebrated him until he found out he was ugly

yet the Left had no hesitation with claiming Luigi Mangione as one of their own and many openly celebrated Luigi as their champion and the only difference between Luigi versus Crooks and Robinson is obviously physical attractiveness

so, if Luigi had assassinated Charlie Kirk instead, would the Left claim him as their own?

I agree Luigi's looks definitely have a part to play, but the murders where/why they were done are completely different, which significantly impacts it.

You can't compare these two cases in my opinion. Nothing justifies murder, but the guy Luigi killed was a parasite who was directly responsible in the scam and death of thousands of people which is why people hold little sympathy for him. Charlie Kirk while delivering some problematic messages was not directly involved in the murder of anyone, and was begining to question the ethnic cleansing of Gaza among other things

if Brian Thompson was shot dead by Crooks or Robinson, I doubt any of them would be celebrated to the same level Luigi was celebrated to

physical attractiveness does play a part in whether a side wants to claim you or not even for horrific shit

My main point was that I think for Luigi it was a combination between the person he killed and his looks/the little that is known about him apart from the incident. I don't think his actions should be supported but I think that the fact it was a Health Insurance CEO made his supporters feel less guilty about standing him.

With Charlie Kirk, there are still some assholes celebrating his assassination. But I think that most Left wingers have dissociated from it because at the end of the day Charlie was just practicing his freedom of speech and not actively harming anyone.

the thing is there was hardly any talk of whether Luigi was a Republican or Democrat. The Left immediately cheered for him to assassinate Trump and Elon Musk next as if the was one of their own. Californian Democrats even named a ballot initiative after him.

meanwhile there were efforts to disown Crooks or Robinson which I don't see happening to Luigi especially if Luigi had shot Charlie Kirk. it's almost as if the uglier the assassin, the less the Left want to associate with them and the more attractive the assassin, the more they claim him.

If I remember correctly, there were people on both sides of the political spectrum that we're expressing negative views about Luigi's victim and talking well about Luigi when the incident first occured (at least in the YouTube comments sections). Only after Ben Shapiro, Fox News, and the rest of the right wing personalities started to condemn the act and condemn Luigi did the rest of the right condemn it as well
