As expected (much to many people denying) the petrol prices have gone up because of the war. Typically here on a Monday it's a discount day, usually 91 is about 2.29 L today the discounted price is 2.51 L
Sigh

Gas/petrol prices usually rise in summer anyway, as people drive more and increase demand. This increase is early than usual, caused by what's happening in Iran. I wouldn't say I expected it, but I'm not surprised. Here in Southeast US, gas prices rose by about 50 cents per gallon, to around US$3.30.
Considering my full-ups are usually only half of my 13-gallon tank (about 50 liters), I guess that means I can't afford a BigMac meal this week. What a concept. Increasing oil prices help me eat more healthy food. 😁
I live in the southern hemisphere... its autumn...
I think you are foolish if you think gas prices are rising because of war.. They are rising because they can. None of the fuel you buy comes from Iran or Russia.
Uhhh well yes it does... we buy petrol from Asia, Asia buys crude oil from the middle east š¤Æ
There is no less oil on the market due to the war, we don't even get our oil from Iran and we (America) are the ones keeping the oil flowing by keeping the Straight of Hormuz safe and open for tankers. There is as much tanker traffic flowing through there now as at any other time. High gas prices right now are artificial and being dictated by the oil companies, not the government.
Not sure where you got your information because its incorrect usually there's over 100 ships going through fhe straight of Hormuz daily... as of March 3rd it was three... Iran are blocking oil shipments
Iāve been waiting for it, a war in the Middle East never bodes well for petrol. Unfortunately last week was my āoff weekā for getting gas, I only top up every fortnight, so this week Iāll have to pay a lot more. Iāll also be filling up the petrol canister as a back up.

Anyone who didn't know the gas prices were going to rise at least 1 week ago their vote should be worth less than mine
More those who refused to believe the correlation š„“ its just a coincidence that every time there is a war petrol prices go up
The barrel price actually did not. So all this is, is the stock market making profits through war speculations
Actually it did go up. 119 a barrel start of this week then drop to 85 which is still more than what it was pre attacks (72)
If you look at the price longer term, the fluctuations in price are nowhere out of what we had across the last 10 years.
Apart from 2022 (Ukrainian war) its the highest its been in 10 years
And apart from a random spike 2023 as well. Point being: price at the gas station was never that high even though the barrel oil was that price before.
It is currently higher than the spike in 2023... Petrol prices follow crude oil almost exactly.

Why wouldn't you? The price of oil has almost doubled since Jan 7th. It was $56 a barrel then, it's $102 a barrel now, and it will go even higher. Brace yourself for more.
yes, it is still much less than it was 2 years ago. In a couple of months this war will be in the rear view mirror and gas prices will be going down.
Tree fitty for a mufuckin gallon of gas? Damn, shit, that is wack! I really don't know the conversion rate of liter/litre? vs currency depending on location.
of course, any type of conflict would send oil prices up in the short term. They'll stabilize back down shortly.
Luckily my petrol cost is soon to be covered by work š
At this point I'm about to start siphoning peoples gas
Oil companies will jump at any reason to raise prices at pump
Reasons such as: being blocked from shipping crude oil.
@Razp_Sorbet What else can you get by war!
We knew it
Yes, I was expecting a big rise in gas, but it will go down again, even lower.
Yes, I was. And this is just the beginning.
Yep its all because our fearless leader wanted to go to war
I think it was pretty much inevitable.
It's the Middle East so...
Yeap especially diesel.
I walk everywhere, Gas prices canāt hurt me.
I use to, now im too far away from work it would take me 2 hrs to walk it up hill too š«
Yeah and I'm ready for gold to follow it
We all saw this coming.
It's going to get worse. Follow what's happening
Ours are dropping here. In Canada.
@Spencer10 i paid $1.14/litre last night.
Of course I was expecting it.
