The fake news has been screaming that gas prices will skyrocket because ot saying f the War in Iran. I just drove around today and looked at many local gas stations. They were all still at 2.79- 2.89 like they were 2 weeks ago when I filled up my truck

I'm not saying they will not rise in the future, nobody has a crystal ball but the fake news has been slinging this bull since the first bomb dropped. I think that the chance that they will " skyrocket" is about zero percent because we have an intelligent president in the White House instead of a scarecrow,

It is interesting that nobody remembers the 5+ dollars a gallon we paid just a couple of years ago.

I mean I'll keep you posted if you're asking. I only keep track of gas prices by what it costs to fill my tank. It's about 60 bucks now... over 100 during Biden.

The gas tanks would cut me off at 100 during Biden and I'd have to do a circle around the block to put another 20 in. If you do the math I'm too lazy to do and compare it to this prediction that I'm about to be paying upto 10 per gal...

It's all because Iran is trying to seal off the Straight of Hormuz so that the oil tankers cannot go through to deliver the oil.
But as you would have it, TRUMP is very well of this and is taking action to have US Navy ships escort these tankers through the Straight.
Naturally Iran is going to continue with their plans to close it up.
If it does close and the oil 🛢️ tankers cannot get through it's then that oil prices will be a lot more than we are paying now.

yes. my local gas station was up 20 cents from last week. fortunately i drive an e/v so ain't worried

now on the other hand home heating oil has jumped 32cents in less than a month (looking at my delivery from February 9th where it was $3.88 and then just checked now online and it's $4.30). this is abnormal cause home heating prices usually drop as you get closer to spring.

That's because the fake news is bought and paid for by the China/Islam/Nazi alliance. China will get their ass handed to them in this "energy war" because they depend on cheap black market oil traded through a parallel shadow economy that ran through Venezuela, Iran, and Russia with trading in Malaysia because they were willing to ignore international law and sanctions on rogue states to cheat their way into an economic advantage. After Maduro was removed, Venezuela was flipped to a government that is more favorable to the west and contracts were struct to provide a certain amount of oil to the US. Now Iran is being hit cutting off another shadow network for China. The commies will feel the squeeze. In the mean time America will loosen the noose on Russia and allow them to sell more of their oil that was blocked by sanctions to alleviate market tensions for the global economy. Russia sanctioned oil was also part of that shadow network that was sold under market value to China. So now China has to pay full price like every other nation and compete on a level playing field. After Iran is sorted out the government that follows will likely be more friendly to the USA making oil deals favor America first. But the socialist thrive on propaganda and panic. In reality this is a good thing for America and a bad thing for China. Those aligned with America will get the oil they need. Those allied with the Nazis/China/Islam will not. There are winners and losers in this game.

I don’t really pay attention to gas prices. When i need gas, i get gas. It was noticeable when my fill-ups were costing upwards of a C-note, and i noticed when that ended.
There are lots of factors at play here. The US exports more petroleum than it imports. So prices haven’t reason due to scarcity of crude in probably two decades. Big Oil raises prices whenever they want for any reason or for no reason at all. The entire business model is gouging, but so is almost everything in the US. That’s how supply side economics works. The price of almost everything you can imagine is artificially inflated because they control the supply. The demand doesn’t even have to be there.
So, if Drumpf has the oil companies satisfied for now, maybe we don’t see the price hikes. Maybe they wait until closer to summer and blame the “demand”, like usual. The prices WILL go up. They always do. Under western capitalism the business model is always infinite profit growth, by any means necessary.

We don't need Iran's oil! In the first place, we just got a few BILLION barrels from Venezuela, last I heard and there's enough oil right here in America to keep us in gasoline for the next 300 years and the same amount in Alaska!!

Yes, the cost of oil will probably go up for a while, even if there is no disruption in pumping or refining the oil. At the same time, Iran has been the single biggest problem regarding oil transportation, and that threat has been effectively removed, so in the long run, it's going to stabilize oil prices and increase competition, which will lower prices.

I've lived in MO for 5 years. Gas was $2.89 when I first moved here, and has gone down to as low as $2.39. It's currently sitting at $2.59. So still pretty good! I lived in southern CA my whole life before then and they are ridiculously high right now.

I payed 4.50 a gallon recently and a couple weeks ago payed about 4.00. I live in a very liberal state where almost constantly the government raises taxes on just about everything. Also the farther away from Texas that you are the more gas costs. I live in Wa state.
