Those are some great memes. I really chuckled at the one about the loan.
I have no idea how high gas prices will go.
Biden, Democrats and others have been howling about climate change for quite a while. They are really pushing electric cars, which are far more damaging to the environment than exhaust emissions. But they are highly profitable for those who mine, process and transport minerals, and manufacture batteries and electric cars. The thing is, though, if everyone cold afford to buy an electric car, there would never ever be anywhere near enough energy to charge them all. So electric cars are a trap.
Biden cut off production of oil and gas in the U. S. and made us dependent on foreign imports. Now they are placing an embargo on Russian fuel and trying to make us believe that our high gas prices are a result of that. It has the benefit of increasing ambivalence toward Russia. But what about oil from Saudi Arabia, Canada and other places? Why can't the U. S. make up for the loss of Russian petroleum? The U. S. was energy self sufficient a year ago.
The dictatorial covid mandates were designed to isolate and bankrupt people and restrict their independence. They had nothing to do with public health. After two years, the covid narrative has started with wear thin, so it's time for the next crisis to further destroy people's independence.
High fuel prices not only translate into high gas prices at the pump and higher utility bills, they help to continue breaking up the supply chain, effecting the price of food and everything else. It creates inflation. And who benefits from that?
This is all part of a master plan. It will continue until either we are all enslaved, or until people wake up and refuse to take it any more.
My girlfriend and I live together and work together so we usually only drive one car to work, and we live only 6.7 miles from our office, so it has not hit us too hard, but. . . yes, gas prices are outrageous and Biden claiming no responsibility is disengenuous. Democrats will lose enormous power in the November elections.
Biden cancelled the pipeline. How can he not be somewhat responsible?
Absolutely!
I would still like to see every oil producing company in the nation start pumping.
Gas prices are sky rocketing ALL over the world including the country I live., This is awful. I mean if this continues like this people will have to keep their cars at home and only use it for extremely emergencies and use public transportation (Taxi, bus, train, anything that is way much cheaper than using the car or walk ). Gas prices high and people wil even have to go out less to hang out with friends or family, socialize less cause by socializing it means using your car to go to the place of the meeting with friends. Also peole will have to vacation less as well.
This Ukraine-Rusia war is affecting all over the world, I mean gas prices getting super expensive and by defualt, groceries and otehr services will be the same. I mean what can we do to diminish in our houses the impact of expensive prices in gas and other stuff?
I am afraid that gas will go up past $8.00 here in Los Angeles. We have already gotten to almost $6.00 and this was just in a matter of a week. For awhile the gas prices were going up just a little under $0.10 every day. It’s been a major jump since the Ukraine news. What are gas prices like where you are?
Orange County is about the same as LA County.

Everybody should be concerned, not only the price of gas is going up but so is the price of diesel fuel. Every item you buy got there by diesel fuel. When the cost goes up for diesel fuel, that expense is passed on to the consumer and everything you eat drink wear etc comes by a truck powered by diesel fuel
Ooooo, I love all these cheery comments.
It's just reality. Fuck Joe Biden
Well just take Stephen Colbert's advice and "Just buy a Tesla, ya Trump supporting White nationalists!" I mean, HE owns a Tesla. Because he's BETTER than you! Stephen Colbert actually CARES about the environment, unlike you! What average American CAN'T just go out and buy a $70,000 electric vehicle? Especially in this super-healthy Biden economy, am I right? A clean conscience is worth $120 a week on gas, ya stupid right-wingers! $15 a gas is worth doing the right thing, ya incels and bigots!

(For those who are mentally r*tarded, this is all sarcasm.)
For two years I have been dealing with energy poverty issues, I don't know what happens in the US, but in Europe 2/3 of household energy expenditure is given by the cost of transport.
Gasoline prices are given by expectations not by real value. The price is from two-year futures or the price of oil that will be delivered in two years. The gasoline sold today was bought two years ago, so it's speculation.
America still have a cheap fuel compared to west european countries. If the agents had been foresight, they would have bought low-consumption cars, but most likely they have done the opposite by buying boats such as SUVs or similar now paying the consequences.
Gas price in Italy this morning was 2,318€/liter in dollar is 2,54$/liter that in gallons is 9,6012$/gal. Diesel price is 2,477€/liter is 2,71 $/liter that in gallons is 10.24$/gal.
I paid $19 for all of my travel this past month. About 600 miles and relatively aggressive driving in a 450HP car. So for my own part at least, I'm not all that concerned.
Am I concerned about rising prices because of increased shipping costs? Sure.
But like, I'm not sitting here all shocked given we're nearly at war with a oil and nuclear superpower. Just like I wasn't shocked when it happened from the Middle East. I moved some funds around in preparation. And I'm continuing to invest because stock prices are low. Dollar-cost averaging and whatnot.
I gave my car away to charity in 2003. I've walked everywhere with all these good old boys flipping me the bird and trying to run me over. Hahaah Oh wait... there's more. ... I went vegetarian in the mid 1990s. Which caused all these idiots to accuse me of being a rabbit food eating hippie. Hahaha None of this inflationary apocalypse even touches me right now. Hey losers, think of me next time you're paying $300 to fill up your car. And when you're forced to eat a salad at lunch because the dead cows are just too expensive. Form a union at your job and negotiate a pay raise you commie. Come here and pull my finger.
So, you admit that being a vegan causes you to fart. Does it also cause you to shit green cucumbers?
No, it causes me not go bankrupt over my addiction to dead animals and doing donuts in a honda civic sweetheart. Come here and pull my finger
So you were the little troll doing donuts in the cul de sac at 2 am?
Um, vegetables cost more, too, now, dummy.
Thank you for reminding me either gas for my car or money to take a girl out so I can make out LOL I think it'll probably go to $7 a gallon or I can just start saving to go buy an electric car because that's where we're headed we are running out of Natural Resources so we're not going to use our stock in fuel because if people only knew how many gallons per day of oil that we use just to manufacture the Plastics and all the things that we manufacture you would be amazed so I see why they're going to keep the prices up high because we are running out of Natural Resources but we need better cheaper electric cars or some sort of Transportation
There are more important things for us to be concerned about here in the US, such as, but not limited to : 1) who will the bachelor ends up marrying in the final episode of the bachelor 2) Will Kim Kardashian have another ass-implant? 3) Is Vanna White ever going to be replaced on wheel of fortune? 4) Will Tom Brady return to the NFL? 5) and finally, lets keep supporting Ukraine even though we had no idea what Ukraine was and not knowing where it was after we found out it was actually a country until the media tells us to stop
I don't think the price of refined gasoline at the current tax rates will get much higher. This is complicated. When the price gets higher people start to cut back. The higher it gets the more people cut back. At some point consumption will decrease enough that the price will start to come down somewhat. The real issue is with energy prices in general. I hope this link works. If not it is a truck driver standing at a diesel pump explaining the coming hurt on grocery prices.

right now its been at 4.89 for 2 days now however im just debating car jacking my neighbors kid for their power wheel to use for work, at 4'11 i can fit but well not sure how fast i can go on the highway? lol
Just put a bigger electric motor in it and a few more batteries.
I'm not planning any roadtrips at the moment, and my commute isn't that far, so it won't effect me too much, but it's the FOOD prices that will really effect me.
I love how the Dems were blaming Trump for the recession, then at the State of the Union, Biden finally agknowledged it was Covid. But now he is blaming Russia. Anything to take the blame off himself, but people aren't stupid.
I am. My truck gets 25mpg, which is pretty good for a truck. My commute is around 40mins though. But damn those new hybrids get insanely good gas mileage! However it's a terrible time to buy a new car right now. In a year or two when hopefully the microchip shortage gets better, then maybe it will be a better time to buy a car. Cars are more expensive because of that shortage. Also waiting is always better since technology in vehicles keep improving 😊
All things considered - we own our house 100%, we're reasonably healthy, we have enough to live somewhat comfortably (not extravagantly), our daughters have good husbands and three nice kids apiece. Sure it might cost me $30 more a tank, but that seems like a good trade- not that I'm letting the current White House occupant get away with f'ing up US energy independence.
Good thing the warmer weather is coming, can ride my bike to get around, I’m only 10 miles from work so my car just needs gas every 2 weeks. Unfortunately we are an oil driven economy so it’s going to raise the price of everything else
The news keeps getting better. :(
Were ok. Concerned for the world more about prices of food which is related to fuel… grain harvest and fertilizers. Food insecurity can ignite all sorts of social ills.
The cost of home heating oil concerns me more. I do not drive much and go through a tank a month if that. I like to stay warm however.
That's why they have wood stoves. Wood is cheaper than gas/oil. During WWII people converted their cars to using wood gases to power their cars.
That is way easier. I have no idea what a cord of wood costs. Most fireplaces, like mine from the 50's, are not efficient. You need a good fireplace insert to get the most heat out of firewood.
I bought a woodstove. I heated the whole house with it. I cut some vents in the floor so the heat would travel upstairs. If it got really cold at night I used to have to sleep in the living room so I could tend the fire. The first winter the gas company called me to find out why I wasn't using any gas.
To be honest, I have given up on reacting to the rising oil/gas prices. I just sit and nod my head when some change is seen in the prices.
In India, the prices were already high. I will definitely not be surprised to see more rise in prices. As there is no element of surprise here at all!
I am considering to switch on other fuel, but am waiting for overall response.
TBH we do pretty low milage, and can cut out some of the short journeys we do, so not too concerned for now. It's a bit of a concern that we'll have to consider long journeys and how much it'll cost. But because public transport is so expensive inost cases it will still be cheaper to. go in car
That would suck if you were going cross country and pulled into a gas station off the interstate and find out they had no gas. You would be stuck there eating out of vending machines.
You haven't seen anything yet.
The price of petrol (gas) here in the UK has always been much more expensive than the US, and we are experiencing prices now of over $10 per gallon, and most of that is spent driving around sitting in traffic!
If only the US was capable of producing it's own oil and had some way to transport it. Something like a pipeline for example...
Would you like to learn facts? Try it!
https://youtu.be/ZwUVe59GeAY
@supercutebutt
A girl that isn't old enough to remember when we actually had oil flowing cheaply from our own sources can regurgitate a link to a white house shill bullshitting.
Well, then I stand corrected
@supercutebutt
And that guy narrating it looks like he was raised on a steady diet of soy and emasculation
You can thank Biden we don't. But wait, whatever happened to the Alaskan oil pipeline?
We are currently getting more oil from our own country than ever before. And if you would watch the video, everything about your precious Keystone pipeline will be explained at a level even you can understand. It has 0% to do with gas prices. And gas prices were high under Trump UNTIL the pandemic when everybody stopped driving and oil crashed. Then at the end of Trump's presidency, gas prices started rising again and kept on going as the pandemic ended. Then asshole Putin decided to be Hitler and here we are. Watch the video and learn. :)
@supercutebutt
Yeah. I remember the same thing in the Seventies when it was everyone's fault but Carter. Then Regan came in a it just magically cleared up of it's own accord.
You can thank Bite-on that we don't. Wait! We do! What happened to the Alaska pipeline we had?
@daniela1982 @MrtoddsWildRide You can blame Biden if you want. But you are wrong. And you look stupid blaming all your problems on everyone except yourselves and dunderheads like Putin & Trump who you worship like gods. Cult people like you are embarrassing.
@supercutebutt
I like the way that you say we look stupid for blaming someone else before you blame someone else.
Well done.
So the increase in gas has nothing to do with Putin, my doofus? And nothing to do with coming out of a pandemic?
I already proved it has nothing to do with Biden and you have offered zero evidence except lame talking points that stupid people parrot. People who worship the fat clown say that shit.
@supercutebutt
I just want to be clear on this. You're argument is that during the time of the Biden administration Biden has less to do with the economy that the last guy in office?
Isn't that like saying that it isn't your fault that you gave someone an STD because he had sex with someone before you?
My argument is that President of the USA can't "magically" lower gas prices, like you seem to think. Gas was high under Trump before the pandemic. Then it crashed when demand was low. Then it started creeping up again at the end of his term and continued that same exact trajectory when Biden took over. Then vaccines came out, people started driving again, causing demand like pre-pandemic, and the prices went right back to where they used to be. Now they are rising even higher because of Putin's insane war. This is all very obvious to any thinking person.
@supercutebutt
Except that your argument up until now has been different. You seem to think that Biden has no influence now, but so far have argued that Trump does. Why can Biden not "magically" lower gas prices, but Trump can?
Look Trump is gone. He is out of office and he is not coming back. The point I am trying to make is that if we were not so dependent on foreign oil then Putin's tyranny (I do not support him) wouldn't be an issue. While the gas prices might not drop immediately, the Biden administration should be working on the US becoming more oil independent. Unfortunately the Democrats seem to be only interested in "green" technology that is much further off from being practical.
@supercutebutt Was it not Biden who halted the oil pipeline in the US? It sure wasn't Trump. Transportation of oil is not cheap and shows it at the pumps. An oil pipeline save those expenses and at least pays for itself over time. Then we had the Alaskan pipeline. I have no idea if it is still working as I haven't heard anything about it for years. But if it is it makes me wonder if they still export it as they did at one time instead of using our own oil and not having to import it.
@daniela1982 I already explained this to you. I am blocking you now.
@MrtoddsWildRide I am tired of you. Blocked. Get out of the Trump cult, please. Your brain has turned to pudding.
@supercutebutt Thank God!
You have been too condescending to listen to your crap anyway. Bye!
Trump's presidency is looking pretty good right now.
Everyone is concerned, but there's not much we can do about it now except wait it out. Would have helped a lot if NATO had lined up anti-tank weaponry on the Ukranian border and blew them up when they crossed. Bitch slapping Putin would have worked if had all of NATO behind it.
Anyway, it's not that big a deal for me since I too work at home, plus I live on an island where I can use my golf cart to get around. That costs me about $3 a week, if that. LOL
Fuel prices affect everything. Even if you have an EV, you're gonna pay more. Maybe not at the pump, but definitely at the store, and just wait until the electric companies raise prices. Plus, the government is gonna tax the hell out of them because as fewer people use gas, revenues drop and they'll have to make it up with extra taxes.
We're all in trouble. Some just understand the situation better.
I don't think the power grid could handle all those electric cars. They would just need more coal fired electric generating plants to meet the demand. So what do we save by not needing gasoline?
From an environmental standpoint? Nothing. From an economic standpoint? Also nothing. But from a virtuosity stand standpoint, it's as easy to convince people they're doing the right thing as it is to convince them that government policies have nothing to do with the prices they're paying.
Most people can't see past one step of logic, and there's no point in trying to get them to see the big picture. They just see everything as its own isolated issue
The prices are ridiculous. They always have an excuse why but it's just an excuse and not reality. Prices are going up on everything except wages.
I agree and citizens in the country I live believe the same way (IM not in the US) as in our country we are going through the same thing gas prices up and wages or salary do not go up, but our citizens believe it is something mainly in our country that our government or the comapnies do not want to increase salaries while everthing is going up. But it looks like this is a world wide problem.
The dogs!
Oil prices going up will affect everything else we buy. I do have a hybrid, which helps, but I’d much rather have the price of gas stay low because everything we buy is dependent on oil prices - food, electricity, clothing, etc. If gas stays at the level it is, inflation will get worse and will tank the economy.
It's getting more economical to shop at the regional grocery chain than driving the extra miles to Walmart or Aldi's.
I am also very concerned about the gas prices in my city because from what I've been hearing that has is going to about 7$ a gallon witch at that point will make everyone start riding bicycles so all I have to say to our government is FUCK YOU🖕🖕
I live in southern California and your picture of gas prices must have been taken in the city I live in! Because of the high price I stopped going places as much. It must hurt the economy!
Yes, the gas prices in Orange County are outrageous. Doubly if your car gets lousy mileage.
Doesn't matter to me. I live close to work and I have a fuel efficient car. The only bad thing is listening to dunderheads complain about it all the time. Too many snowflakes these days.
Don't worry, they melt fast. It's the artificial snowflakes that can stand the heat.
You prefer your snowflakes to be of the artificial variety?
That's all I get where I live.
Fucking Bo Jiden trying to blame the Ukrane Situation on inflation. The US has massive oil reserves that he won't touch so average Americans have to pay like $70 to fill up the tank now. Honestly what a douche bag.
Just wait, Biden will do something else to make the price go higher...
Don't give him any ideas.
What kind of a gas guzzler do you have?
Trucks were never very aerodynamic and known for good mileage. Dodge brought out a pickup with the Hellcat engine in it. You can imagine it will pass everything but a gas station.
Well you got that going for you, which is nice.
Not concerned a bit but I am sitting back smiling at all the liberals and Democrats that voted in this president and how you and all the rest of us are paying for it now.
And we will be paying for some time to come.
Yes ma’am , I guarantee it. This is liberals and Democrats though. They can’t help it and for some reason in there twisted minds they think it’s ok because they don’t want to admit they are wrong in the choices they made. It’s a shame to see what has become of the country we live in. A real American would have seen the writing on the wall.
Gas was over 5.00. Diesel was over 6.00 when 2008 Stick Market crashed. 2022-2023 Property and Stock Devaluation forthcoming.
Bargain hunting time again for those with 💰 on hand.
Well, me and my cousin are not going too many places with gas this high, we make trips to get groceries, doctor appointments, emergency appoints ( God forbid ) that is all in Pennsylvania US the price is $4.19 a gallon, yesterday we filled up $20.40
It is so funny that I see this post. Last night coming home from work, I was noticing how many cars etc were on the roads. Drivers obviously are not phased by high prices at all and the traffic is thick as all hell.
Well people still have to go to work. There is no way around that. Even if gas is $20 a gallon those people will have to suck it up and either take a bus, car pool, walk, or ride a bike or motorcycle. I'm thinking that soon people will be trading in their gas guzzlers for more fuel efficient cars like they did in the 70's.
Seems like we’ve down this road so many times. Gets a bit high, people stop driving as much as they did and big business suffers. Thus magically gas prices drop.
Ah, stop ya whingeing! If you think you have it bad, just move to Australia, where it's been three times higher for years now. Geez, you Yanks really have NO idea, no clue about the world outside your cozy little nation.
Well, I hope I never hear you complain about funnel web spiders, brown snakes, or cane toads.
That's not what Steve Irwin said.
Typically, high gas prices cause an increase in eople taking public transit... trains and buses. Unfortunately, that's only temporary, until prices go back to lower levels.
It's all part of the global financial cull that's going on. Hardcore shoving the wealth wayyyy up into the 1%. I'm not worried. I'll just not drive.
You know, condescending as it is to say, walking is free.
Not if you have to walk 20 miles to get to work. If you walk 5 mph it will take you 8 hours to get to work and back. That will cut down on everything else you budget time for, like sleeping.
As for being concerned I’m not & when it comes to my vehicle it likes getting drunk on gasoline & I have no choice I have to pick up the bar tab.
I'm not I went electric year ago, once your off Petro going back is a no go, free charging no gas no oil that's how you roll
Everyone is concerned except the people making money on this.
not much... unfortunately for them/fortunately for us... the USA already found who to screw to get cheaper oil and gas
Does this mean I'll have to convince my bank & an insurance company to give me about roughly 10 mortgage payments just to get a full tank of gas? lol
Yeah. I’m not. People waste money on more stupid things.. and wonder why they don’t have money. Gas is just one of those things. Call me when it’s like $10-$15 bucks a gallon then we can start a conversation.
I should have bought more gas before the prices went up. I bought my gas guzzler truck when gas was $2.50 a gallon last year. Now it's $6 and I'm pissed.
Join the party. My car has to use Premium gas and it gets about 12 miles per gallon.
I just can't wait to take out my bicycle. Makes no sense these prices. While gas company owners have 100million Dollar mansions, 500 million yatchs. Fun criminal's.
I found this to be extremely interesting!
World's Highest Gas Prices Travel + Leisure (travelandleisure. com)
How long did you expect next to free gas for? You've got to pay what you owe sometime, kiddo.
Stop calling everyone “kiddo” jackass. She’s a grown woman.
Since when have we ever had "free" gas, unless you are talking from eating at Taco Bell.
@Kingofkings1992 In age maybe, but certainly not mentally.
It sucks that for sure. Will have to budget more carefully.
The fuel prices are always gonna go higher in my country, whether the crude oil prices rise or fall. Already the taxes are twice as much as the crude oil price
Oppressive, isn't it?
American pigs are cashing out from oil gauging. The reason why Russia went to war in the first place was the American oil coming into EU. There are a lot of oil pipeline goes through Ukraine. I mean EU is now rejecting Russian products and they will eventually turn toward American oil.
The Russians had a deal finalized for their own oil pipeline to Europe before the war started. Now that pipeline has been scrapped. Putin did this to himself.
@Jamie05rhs no it’s the America who pushed the Russia over. They made Russia scared of American oil. There is a oil pipeline built to Germany and America didn’t make it work
You have no idea what you're talking about.
If you borrow money to buy gas your already screwed.
My only concern is how much of it is manipulated vs actual supply vs demand.
I am more afraid of war than gas prices. Putin administration threatend Finland and sweden if they joind Nato. Now most polititions are in favor of Nato.
Gas prices can't be high! Have you seen the oil stock prices? They keep on dropping.
Wow your gas price picture is higher than the 100LL I use to feel my plane...
UK here. I'm on a tight budget so I'm concerned about petrol prices and also food prices and energy prices. We're facing some tough times and it will probably get worse before it gets any better.
Seen 3.058 euro per liter here in middle Europe...
That's like 11,50 per gallon...
It's bad. Really bad. Talk about kicking a man when he's down...
Not kicking, more like stomping on.
@Daniela1982 That, too.
