I have never been to England. but anti-Muslim hate does seem to be rising. I wouldn’t call it oppression yet, though. My bigger concern is Europe’s growing far right, if the economy gets worse, Muslims and immigrants could easily become scapegoats.

That's completely bullshit. A crime is a crime, and it should be punished regardless of the perpetrator's cultural or religious background. Covering up or turning a blind eye to rape and sexual abuse because of cultural sensitivities only creates resentment in society. If people feel that crimes went unpunished, those cases can later fuel much uglier forms of racism and hostility. Treating that kind of impunity as respect isn't tolerance, it's a sign that the justice system has failed.
