I fly small planes in and out of exceedingly busy airports. You do not, under any circumstances, want somebody who is untrained or somebody who is perhaps impaired in any way or has not done this a lot, actually doing it. It's a nightmare.

Is this for real? That is crazy if true. They are going to have access where? At an actual airport or elsewhere? My problem is that gamers, ones that I know, do marathon sessions. My fear is they would be distracted doing other things.

I am all for new ideas that work but this doesn't sound like one. They have no training or understanding. I am shocked if this is real.

There actually used to be a video game that supposedly allowed you to emulate air traffic control. I don't think it's been published in years.

You may be thinking of Airport Madness. It’s a long-running air-traffic-control game series where you act as the controller—clearing aircraft for takeoff and landing, assigning runways, and preventing conflicts.

Another strong possibility is ATC Simulator, which is more realistic and closer to actual radar-based air traffic control.
