    Define “dangerously thin”.
    Have you seen “The Machinist”?
Are you familiar with Lizzie Velasquez?
Unless you are someone’s doctor, you have no idea what weight and/or body type is healthy or “dangerous” for them. You can’t diagnose someone on looks alone even in person, let alone from a picture off the internet.
Conditions like bulimia and anorexia are often diagnosed late into the disorder and by behavior rather than by physical condition, because weight alone isn’t a symptom of anything. Extremely overweight people are often malnourished and undiagnosed because most people correlate malnutrition with being extremely skinny. Our physiology is much more complex than most people think, and healthy physiology is much more varied than most people realize.
The entire “ozempic” craze is selling like hotcakes and every picture increases clicks, which ultimately increases revenue. Pictures are very easily manipulated, especially with recent advances in AI. This makes it worse because years ago paparazzi actually had to chase celebs down and take photos and then sell them. Now they never have to leave the office and fabricate images to their heart’s content.
I wouldn’t personally worry about a celebrity from a picture alone. Historic patterns of behavior and things they’ve confessed in interviews combined with photos that suggest they haven’t conquered their body image issues might be cause for concern.
Even then i don’t know any big time celebrities to worry about them. I can only hope that they have at least a couple of close relatives or friends to support them if they’re struggling with anything.
I have more concerns about Kelly Osbourne than Jenna Ortega. Kelly used to be a little heavy and has had public issues with body image. Plus addiction runs in her family.

The ozempic craze has raised some interesting questions though. I have long felt that Hollyweird, if not the high fashion industry, had favored more voluptuous women. We have long celebrated the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum. Eventually we devolved to celebrating morbid obesity. Now that anyone can take a pill to be skinny, will Hollyweird and fashion demand exclusively skinny minis now?
I don’t think so, but they’re all more or less off their rockers. So it will be interesting how this all goes over the next few years.

Kelly Osbourne was a massive cokehead in 2007 when my former boss was her driver, I don’t know about now

You spend your whole life dieting and exercising to fit within a specific body type in order to work in Hollywood.
Then someone offers you a miracle drug: GLP-1
It does it for you, you can live life and still be skinny.

You end up abusing it because you’re desperate to be set free and eat what your heart desires.

But like any drug you develop a compulsive addiction to it and now you’re killing yourself for no reason.

And when people try to help you other people will scream at them to leave you alone.
Because they’re too blinded by their false sense of morals to see that someone is dying and needs to be treated not encouraged.

Ozempic has something to do with it I think, maybe it's also a backlash of the tastemakers against body positivity and reverting to the pre-woke era of ultra thin being the desired body type. Though from a lot of the pics I saw of those celebs; they don't look pretty & waify, they look like they're from a concentration camp. It's hideous.

Anorexia is not a hot new trend. Remember Twiggy from the 60's? The "Waif" look on fashion runways in the 90's. For some reason some women keep buying into this dangerous and frankly unattractive body image. They look frail and fragile. It is not good.

It's not really a new trend. I remember when Audry Hepburn was celebrated as a beauty and when Twiggy was a superstar in the late 1960s. For years, fashion models looked anorexic.

But I agree that some celebrities these days look skeletal. Look at poor Kelly Osbourne.

The almost dying look is trendy because some mentally disturbed men push women in that direction. There have been many times on here when men have suggested that being a bag of bones is more attractive than having healthy curves.

They want as much attention as possible.

Looking like death emaciated, gets the gossip columns filled - and it gets them more interviews and shows.

As women age, their celebrity roles become less common, and they make less money. Slimming down makes them look younger, but it's a false view and doesn't last.
