Happy Valentines Day to all the Single people on GaG, what do you plan today, when going out for a meal means facing all those loving couples?

I have been on courses for work over two Valentines days, this has meant having to eat at some local restaurant where the course is being held. A table for one among all those loved up couples lol.
although people watching you can spot those couples that are not really into each other.

do you hermit yourself away for the day or face everyone head on, head held high?

oh and no Anon, as I don’t want to hear the usual sad Anon rubbish.

Happy Valentines to everyone, especially those walking in to a card and flower free house.
Also this is by no means a sad and dejected post, I actually received some cards, however it’s more curious how other single people handle the day. I think it’s cute how couples of all ages are out and about showing each other love and affection. I did gift myself a large bottle of gin for tonight.

I just plan on going to class, then the gym, then making either tuna or pizza 🤔

I feel like Valentine’s Day is the very definition of a commercial “holiday”, lol. Just seems very fake to me. I didn’t celebrate it even while in a relationship. So it didn’t bother me and never has (always cared more for parents bday on the 12th). The most I’d do is bring sweets to all my coworkers because they get sad and take it to heart.

As for myself went to get a lunch and didn't really see any happy couples just lovely old ladies chatting at the table next to mine... majority is just play pretend happy anyways not be cynical but yeah it's the reality... those rare cases of people really in love feel like it everyday because their partner takes care of them consistently and not we're fighting the day before and on Valentine's day you make a grand gesture in exchange for sex

I’m just saying home. Work gave me the day off today and i don’t have a partner so I’m just going to enjoy the day off with my cat like i do on any other day off. Might go to my nana’s and work on the Lego set my dad and I have been working on together. Other than that I’m just staying home

Had to bring my car to the garage; an appointment for my thesis and then spend my afternoon in the library; picked up my sister and brought her home, then played cards with myself. Pretty solid day.
