i'm not really sure what there is to do if you don't have a date on valentines day and don't have to work.
i though about going to the gym but then that sounds kind of lame , feel like restaurants will be packed with couples by dinner hour and don't really want to go there by myself.
it seems like there is more stuff going on Saturday night here anyways. i've often felt valentines day was a holiday desperately in need of a revamp and still do. cause its created a have / have not day that some really like but others feel really left out. its suppose to be about love not loneliness that some feel instead.

I agree. Unfortunately I had to go out to work today, I didn’t want to incase one of my colleagues discussed what they were up to tonight (which one told me about 😒) then after I went to a chippy to get some food and overheard people saying what they were up to tonight. I wish I had stayed at home. I hate seeing people happy when I’m not.
I am avoiding my social media (FB/IG) I’m on here though. I’m also at home now watching scary films and telling myself it’s only Friday.
i know social media was brutal , post after post of girls with there boyfriend's some of them i didn't know ( as i follow a mix of random and real life people on instagram ) and some i knew , the one i haven't seen in over a year she moved out west and with some guy now but when she lived here we got along so well , seems to hard to believe that is how things ended up
might go out briefly , buy some lottery tickets , perhaps have a quick beer somewhere before the v day dinner crowd arrives , i don't imagine any of the bars here will be busy Friday night as everyone seems to have other plans
Enjoy your night, whatever you decide to do.
Restaurants will be packed, especially because it falls on a Friday. Stay home and binge watch your favorite series or something like that.
when it falls on a weekday i usually just ignore it as i wouldn't go out anyways , as its Friday it clashes with the weekend and typical social activities people do.
noticed a bar here has live music Saturday so maybe go to that instead , its also suppose to snow here as its winter
Sounds like a good idea.
maybe stay off social media too? my instagram is like full of stories of girls and there boyfriend , some of them i didn't even know they had a boyfriend
the one i remember she always would ask me to buy her and her girlfriend's expensive shots at this bar during the summer ( when she was single ) definitely not buying her anymore if she has a boyfriend
he can pay for there drinks now if he's this wonderful boyfriend material dude right? i'm definitely not buying them
Wow, why is this affecting you this much?
i've never been that into valentines day so i wouldn't say its something i'm really worried about
some of the girls i follow on social media i don't really know well , so its not like i've been involved with them at some point in the past , i might of meet them at some point and maybe even bought them a drink at a bar but not like actually involved with them so if they have a boyfriend now its not a huge surprise and i tended to go after the more desireable girls so makes sense they'd also be the ones who now have boyfriend's
a lot of the girls i meet at bars also seemed to be type that had a high sex drive , perhaps it was cause of there age , body , whatever reasons but yeah they seem to be type of girl who is able to have sex fairly easily if she wants to
so makes sense they'd be type of girl who is not single on valentines day and didn't have much trouble finding a boyfriend eventually
That's a great advice, @Asker - Just listen to Abby, she knows stuff.
@Xawyx-2 thanks. This seems to be bothering the asker far more than it should. That’s the vibe I get. Not worth worrying this much. I was single last valentines. No big deal.
You're welcome Abby... my thought exactly, it's better for him to binge watch his favorite tv shows, social networks like Instagram and Facebook will only depress him.
@Xawyx-2 I agree
the issue wasn't that i was single , i accept the fact i'm single , more the issue was some of the people ( girls ) i've meet in the past have moved on and were posting online about how there spending valentines day with some guy
overall the day was ok , didn't go back on instagram to see anymore of the stories which were overwelming my feed
went to this restaurant downtown that i normally go to after the dinner rush was over , this girl i had been friends with before was working , we talked and such but not really romantic in nature she didn't seem to want to talk about v day and wasn't even dressed up for it oddly.
before i went in there went in a retail store and ran into another girl i knew who i had meet previously when she worked at a restaurant. saw her at self check out briefly , said hi but nice to see her as i hadn't seen her in a few months
I'm single, so I never had plans to go out anyway :P
