What is the appeal of strip clubs?

I answered this question in a different form earlier, but the answer is the same. Strip clubs are a complete waste of time and money.

Okay, this is going to be somewhat difficult for you to understand, but I am going to explain, and please "check me" against other guys. The allure of strip clubs for me (and most men) is :

1. It's about seeing a strange girl naked and acting sexy. We are always on the hunt; it's hard-wired.

2. You can drink all you want there, you're wife / girlfriend will never know

3. The strippers are very friendly, they have to be, it's their job. We know it's an illusion, but after 8 drinks, who cares

4. What goes on there? Well, that depends. Some "clean" clubs don't allow much. Most clubs have a "please touch, but don't tell" policy, which means that your dancer will take you in the back and dry-ride you like crazy. If you pay her well, you can touch her, too. But that's it. Most girls will not let you go further than this. And most guys don't want to either. That's the honest truth -- we just like the "danger" and the "excitement" of a "different" girl.

Now, there are some really messed-up places, I have walked out on, where the girls are actually hookers. I always run for my life in these places, because the girls have like 2 teeth and a tail, and they'll do anything for $50 or $60. Sounds great, right? WRONG. Most of these poor girls are junkies, or have serious problems ~ and many of them have sex like 10 times a day or more, so good luck with diseases!! Yikes!!

My favorite strip bar is actually FlashDancers in New York City, because what a classy place that is. (It's expensive, but ALL the ladies are LADIES and they dress very nicely, too). They will drink and talk with you, it's a great night out if you're a guy. It's like $300, but the dance you get at the end is to DIE for.

The guy could be too intimidated to ever get a real girlfriend; no confidence or is just unlucky in life (looks, IQ, etc). Not all the guys at strip clubs have women they are romantically involved with. I'd say a good majority of them.

Also, a strip club is a good option for guys who are tired of the game. They just want the intimate contact and someone that pretends they like them- even if they have to pay for it. Oh speaking of money. I've heard quite a few guys mention, when asked about the price, that they'd just be spending the money on a girl anyways. At least by going to a club they actually get something out of it.

This is why I don't go to Hooters though. If I am going to be paying for flirting (and the food sucks too btw), I might as well go to a strip club.
