I'm jealous of the pretty, popular girls at school! Help!

Don't be jealous of them, they are nothing special trust me. Temptation gets shoved in their faces so often a lot of them end up cheating, plus they are high maintenance and sometimes spoilt. Guys hit on them mostly to sleep with them. So they may get the attention but they will probably also get used and hurt a lot.

Unfortunately jealousy makes people bitter, then they become cold and withdrawn and people won't approach them. You need to learn to love you for you, be happy with yourself and let that shine through.. you will then become attractive to others :) Trust me, I've developed feelings for girls that weren't what you would call pretty but their personalities were amazing and I just loved being around them and then wanted to be closer to them.

First off you're certainly not worthless. Try your best to keep positive. Hypothetically why would your looks make you worthless?

You seemed to have immediately dismissed that guys attention as nothing, how can you know if it's nothing unless you act on it?(this is coming from a guys perspective, so I don't know if you want to approach him)

It's obvious that your self-esteem has taken a beating. However its good that you can still consider yourself pretty, so why don't you try changing little things that will make you feel better about yourself? I'm not very attractive but I make myself tidy, wear bright clothes and set my hair right each morning, so I can feel better about myself. I don't know how well that will translate to you but I'm sure you can think of something to do.

Let's be honest pretty much everyone who is not included in the "popular" group feels the same at some point.

Calling you names and giving you dirty looks is just horrible and sadly it's not uncommon. Grin and bear it or stand up for yourself (I don't mean go nuts insulting them because that will just get you into more crap).

Yes it would be nice to have a relationship but there's no rush. Just chill with your friends, keep busy and enjoy yourself.

If you are sort of pretty then you're pretty. Girls always underestimate themselves, you probably look better than you think. And who cares if you're not popular? At my school some of the most beautiful girls were not in the popular group but everyone was too dumb to realize that while they were caught up in the high school rat race. Girls who are popular are automatically considered the prettiest girls whether they truly are or not, it's that pack mentality thing.

Don't be down on yourself. If you don't feel good about yourself how can anyone else? If someone says something negative to you stand up for yourself, you don't have to take that. If someone gives you a disapproving look hold your head up high. Who are they to grant approval to anyone? They ain't sh*t anyway!

Pamper yourself and do things to make you feel prettier, that's what those popular girls are doing. get your hair done, do your nails, wear clothes that make you feel cute
