Are parents harming their kids by ignoring biblical warnings about indulgence?

The buddhists believe that indulgence leads to suffering and I believe the reason some very rich or good looking people become depressed is that they had all these chances to indulge on pleasant things they did not earn due to genetic or biological luck. When I was 20, my emotions become blunted and I lost most of my capacity for visual pleasure, as well as most of my superficial concerns in people, and when I lost my money worship and my beauty worship, I also lost most of my suffering as well. When I was a child and teenager, I had extreme happiness and extreme suffering too, and when I got older, I had no happiness, and no suffering either, I was always just neutral.

I think the world would be a better place if people were psychologically prepared before becoming parents. Just as we require a license to drive because it affects other people's lives, raising a child is an even greater responsibility. If someone isn't emotionally or mentally ready, the cycle simply repeats itself. Every parent shapes another generation, and in many ways, every child becomes a reflection of the environment they were raised in.

Some parents should just not have kids.

There are too many parents out there That Are not in their kid's life They set them in front of a TV And that's the way they grow up

Are they ignore them or they're on them constantly

There's not a manual for raising children And you would think Common Sense would kick in But most people don't have common sense

Most parents think by controlling yelling screaming venting or taking their problems out on their kids is a good thing or they don't even know they're doing it and that's what really sucks

You can tell a kid what to do until you're blue in the face they might do it they might not but what they do do is they read you like a book your facial expressions your attitude your tone and that's who they become

And they think just because their parents We're that way that's the way that they have to be Instead of stopping and thinking This is wrong something is wrong about this

You can see it on here in people's answers you can see it on here and people's attitudes that they never did check themselves on who they wanted to be are the way that they were taught if it was right or if it is wrong they just adapt and go with it

Most of the people on here that answer questions to give other people crap About their question Or their answers Are some of those people They think just because they think it That they're right And they will fight you to the end To prove that there right

It just shows me ignorance and the lack of self-discipline or the lack of knowing the way to handle themselves in any situation

Parents have to understand there are two sides to everything

If you cannot communicate to your children with respect then they are not going to have respect for anybody else growing up and becoming parents

Parents have to understand one of the most important things about raising a child is disciplining yourself you don't need to hit yell scream to get your message across to teach them anything really it just has never worked we'll never work and you can see that within kids today

I think it's a lack of a lot of things

With the parents and the kid is the one that suffers

If you do not give your child a foundation to grow from and if your child is not willing to learn on their own instead of taking face value that their parents are quote unquote right because there's no such thing

We can all look up in the clouds and we can all see something different it doesn't mean that we're right or wrong

But some parents believe just because they see something that they have to be right no matter what it is in their life so that's what they teach their children their children teach their children and until somebody breaks that cycle

But I know it can be done because I watch people some of the worst people even on here completely change and do a 180 and become gentler and nicer

Is I have seen jackasses come on this app and turn their lives around just by the way they speak to people and how they think and a way to interact and that is something cool

Yes. Even christians do this mistake. Because it is difficult to track what defines "indulgence", and indulgence is seen as an external action. So people regulate it externally. As a result? They indulge in regulating themselves. Sometimes full-blown masochism. Self humiliation. They are tools of the pathetic ego "look how humble i am." Some modern churches deliberately lie to people that euphoria is holy ghost. Which makes them indulge in all sorts of "holy" actions, even irrational ones chasing that euphoria, like a chemicsl addiction.

Euphoria is of the body. A chemical high. And the body opposes the soul. The bible says they are in conflict. This is about emotions. Not about intellectualized "needs" of the body. Intellectual repression obviously does not work.

The spiritual act is not to humiliate oneself, but to embrace sorrow in the soul. Activate the soul. Just as after every chemical high there is withdrawal. So after every soulful sorrow there is joy.
