Frankly it's not the state or schools job to raise a child, it's the parents job. So it's well within the parents rights to have their children excluded. Also given that there have been several cases where the drag queens involved in school events happened to be registered sex offenders, all parents should be fighting against such events.

As someone who was actually kidnapped and molested as a kid that is a huge issue with me. Especially given that Alberto Garza aka Tatiana Mala Nina in Houston is on the sex offender registry as child sex offender. Meaning more then likely he is on the damn registry for inappropriate conduct with children. So there is a very good chance that the idiots that put on the event actually brought children around the same kind of child predator that got their hands on me growing up.

I think most normal people are tired of this Alphabet soup stuff, and that includes alphabet people. I just want my kid to learn how to read, write, and do math. It's fine if they learn some skills like cooking or how to do their taxes... put it pisses me off when my kid knows all the pronouns and how bad it is to be white, but can't read and understand the directions to make himself a pizza pocket.

Yes, because in school children should be taught that which they'll actually need to know (especially later on in life) like how to read, write and count. Public education has become nothing more than brainwashing, and instead of being encouraged to think for themselves they're being encouraged to be "correct" and avoid "offense". It's ridiculous.

Well if this lgqbcdefg2k++(x÷5%) is still going crazy when I have kids ill definitely homeschool/Astravo cuz ain't no way my kids be exposed to that 24/7 ... but I somehow think it'll go away some day. Most insane horseshit usually flare up then dies down again. This too shall pass...

To be fair, if the parents have a point, then they should be able to protect their kids from such "wokeness".

It's like saying you want your kids to be immune, but never be exposed - you can't have it both ways, Karen. Either you vaccinate the kid, or you let the child suffer and recover.

Parents for sure should have the right to protect their kids. I think though the problem is that so many have complained about stuff not being taught and now the rest of the world who doesn’t agree are having their ideas jammed down our throats.

1) private school
2) home school
3) move somewhere public school isn't insane
4) go to insane public school but liberally miss days/lessons that you don't care about
5) go to insane public school and attend all classes but mercilessly mock the stupid ones.
