Ex boyfriend religiously checks my Instagram story after he broke up with me, but never like my pics (Guys, need your opinion) Why does he do that?

My ex boyfriend broke up with me about 2.5 month ago, due to LDR and personal issues/ struggles. I unfollowed his Instagram right after we broke up. Instagram is the only place that he would keep everything updated, but not on FB. We are still friends on FB.

I immediately when into NC, we haven't spoken a word to each other since then. He still follows me on Instagram, checks my Instagram stories every time (only missed a few), but he never like any of my pictures.

Our FB profiles pictures are still the ones that we took for each other. I also took his Instagram profile photo. He never changed it.

Our relationship was really amazing and I really thought he was the one. When he broke up with me, it shattered my heart into million pieces. It's been 2.5 months and I really miss him. I think about him every day and I still love him and loved our relationship... as sappy as it sounds.

I know he is probably moved on, but in my heart, I still hope that in some ways that he misses me and what we had. He never talked to me, which makes me sad.

Why does he keep looking at my Instagram stories? Do you guys do that right after you broke up with someone?

He never like any of my pictures. He carefully choose not like to them. Why would he view my stories but not like any pictures.

Probably thinks that because he isn’t liking them, it’ll come across as him not actually caring

I think it's either he doesn't care, doesn't have any feeling towards me, or he doesn't want to click "like" because he doesn't want me to think that we can get back together.

I'm trying. Trust me I am trying hard. It's hard to let go someone I felt deeply connected to. I had such an awesome time with him and I never felt this way with anyone before. If it was a terrible and incompatible relationshop, I wouldn't struggle this much to move on.

He probably has a problem with letting go. Sounds like he still likes you but can't see how you can be together in a long distance romance. He probably felt unable to tell you and now can't let go.

I've dated a lot but he was the only one that I felt strongly that he is the one. We talked about moving to his country before and travel more together, but when he broke up with me, he told me that he is not ready for me to move to his country, nor living with me. He doesn't want such a serious committed relationship. He is 24 and I'm 30, we both don't want kids. He was supposed to visit me during Christmas but he decided to break up with me and never came.

I was ready to move over there, but he didn't want to be with me at the time. If he doesn't want me, why keep looking at my Instagram?

Where was he from? He checks as he want to see if you have moved on but to let you know he's looking.

He lives Europe and I live in the US. I don't think he knows that I know he looks at my Instagram story. He never likes any of my instragm pics after we broke up.
