Do you ever unblock your ex on social media?

My ex has me blocked. Mostly because I spammed him with messages. It was when I was still pregnant, and I thought he wasn’t gonna help me with the baby ( which is exactly what happened).

He blocked me. Then just ended up texting me that he was gonna he a part of our daughter’s life. I went into labor exactly a week ago, and he was still interested and wanted to go see our daughter. Then the next day he changed his mind and said he didn’t want her. He had lost his job. He blocked my number, and had already had me blocked on Facebook.

Do you think he’ll eventually get curious and unblock me? (I’m asking because if he gets curious. He might look at my profile, see all the photos of his daughter and want to be a part of her life)

** disclaimer** I already filed child support so don’t comment about his. Also, don’t give me the whole “this is why you should get married first speech* I felt too guilty to have an abortion and to be honest, I can afford a baby on my own. The child support is an added bonus. But it’s not about the money, I care about my daughter having both parents in her life.

I have unblocked an ex but it was just to show him how much better my life was without him. He messaged me the first day he got unblocked. So I think the chances are extremely high of him unblocking you. ❣️

How am I a horrible person for holding him accountable? When I got pregnant, I was unsure about keeping the baby, he’s the one that was like “let’s keep it, please”. He begged me like crazy to keep it and kept saying he wanted a baby. Also, that money is for the baby, I’m not using it for myself. So far I’ve gotten one payment, and I used it on diapers, and a mattress for her crib. I’m probably gonna start saving it for her to start a college fund for her. Ohh, but I’m so terrible for being there for my daughter and thinking of her future. You’re so right. You know what would not make me horrible? Abandoning her like my ex did. You’re so right!

Look im all for the justice aspect of what your your dealing with but see it from my POV here. Dont need the money but its a bonus... My apologies for the horrible person comment. Just seemed really petty when first read.

There’s no POV from your standpoint. You haven’t gotten abandoned with a baby.

I said I don’t need the money because I do okay for myself. But child support is a bonus because I can I can only afford necessities. So if she gets sick, I CAN’T afford it, I’ll use the child support money. Things like that. For the most part, I’m gonna save it to make a college fund for her. Once she’s older, I’ll still put most in the college fund for her. But I’ll give her a small amount so she can buy herself a toy or something she wants with it.

The point isn’t being able to afford the necessities, it’s that BOTH of us should be accountable for a baby that we BOTH created.
