My boyfriend told me that we're not really compatible, what does he mean by that?

Okay, before you answer the question, read the description first. It's Important. So, basically my boyfriend broke up with me after a few weeks of being together, and the reason for him breaking up was because "We're not really compatible" apparently, according to his words. But I don't understand how we're not compatible. We had so much in common right from the start since we both met. He even said it himself in the past that we have so much in common already. I also agreed to that, because we experienced pretty much the same stuff in life or at least similar, and could relate to each other really well.

So, I don't really get it... what is it that's not compatible, what does he mean by that? I would've asked him myself but he Initiated the break up saying "We should break up", and then straight up blocked me before I could read and reply to his message in time 😭💔

This sounds like it must have been really abrupt and pretty devastating.

It could have meant a whole bunch of things specific to the two of you that we wouldn't know about, but it could also have been a generic line to deal with the fact that he may not be ready for a relationship/he doesn't see a future together/he met someone else.

What is clearer is that he has obviously made his mind up. I read something recently that I liked - we can't always get closure, but we can choose acceptance.

Choose to believe that there is nothing wrong with either of you (other than he's clearly a bit shitty for how he broke up with you), but that you aren't suited to one another (if for no other reason than he made up his mind on that one). Choose to believe that you've dodged a bullet for not investing too much time in someone who breaks up by text. Choose to believe that you will both find people better suited for you, especially that will not leave you feeling confused about where you stand with them. Choose acceptance. Its hard, and you absolutely need to grieve the relationship, but choose acceptance, choose better for yourself and choose happiness.

It was very abrupt and really devastating. I grieved and sowed for an entire day, and still didn't feel quite like my self on the second day either. We had loads in common, I don't know why he said that "We're not really compatible" because we clearly had loads of things in common. And he seemed to say "And I like it", everytime I did anything. So I'm confused. How can you tell for sure that he has made his mind up though?

But you're right, at least I didn't get too attached to him and didn't waste too much time on him...
