When I visit home sometimes I often train at a commercial gym. I notice a girl who I though was kinda cute, but I didn’t look. Every now and then I would catch her looking at me, but then when I look back she looks away. She kind of came off really shy. Sometimes she would keep looking at me all the time, but I could t approach as I felt weird too. One time I asked if she was using something and she kinda slurred her words and I couldn’t understand her. So I said I’ll leave bag and come back.
I saw her social media , and she edits her photos explaining how she goes through depression and feelings of low self worth and self doubt.
one time a bald guy walked in , he looked like he was on steroids and looked like his head was about to explode and I tried hard not to laugh. And at the same time she done a weird dance to her friend and thought I was laughing at her and stop immediately and went quiet. Then she every week she would keep staring at me.
5 months after I requested to follow her , she followed me back. I noticed she still has a lot of photos talking about her depression etc. I liked a few of her photos, and a while later I commented on her story as she uploaded a good song that I love, I just said “that’s a great summer song x” but she didn’t respond to it? Why would she act that way all that time ago like all the staring and slurring Her words , getting nervous if she thought I laughed at her. Now she wouldn’t even respond to me complimenting her song choice? Any ideas

you said she had depression and everything, I think she's trying to protect herself, the fear of getting attached to a person, maybe it's already happened to her in the past, getting attached and trust someone, and in the end this person hurt her a lot, and so now she takes precautions, she constantly says to herself "what if this person was going to play with my feelings again?" try talking to her face to face, show that you are not trying to hurt her in the future and it will be fine, she will regain self-confidence if you really want to help her and want to talk to her, be patient, it take time to heal. If you're really willing to, do it slowly, but if you're just planning to play around, forget it, she's already depressed
