Doesn't work out unless both parties have had some significant life events that changes their perceptions on life and/or their priorities.

For example, if you were small town high school sweethearts, but had a traumatic break up the first semester of freshman year, it's not going to be peachy in Sophmore year. If both parties graduate, get a job and then find themselves in the same city, it's a lot more likely to work out because they've probably dated other people, aren't pitting their partner against a graduation/job search, and the life stage of school has been replaced by working.

Yes a lot but you usually only have sex a few more times and then it ends again. The sex after getting back together is great though.

I did. Once. The same issues that caused our initial breakup were still there. It never works out.

During Covid me and my ex broke up. It was really difficult to meet new people…. I don't know we kept drunk texting each other. No idea how many times. It was definitely a toxic unhealthy situation.
