My ex asked how am i? Lol why?

Cheating ex has got a new place with who he cheated with. It's been 9months.
I've kept silent in that time to focus on me doing me.
Ex sends a text the other day 'hey how are you? Is it ok to drop your things to ur friends'... I replied with '👍🏽'.

My question - why would ex ask 'how are you?' then.. 'here is ur things' ... Perhaps a Sugar coating?
No he's not nice for asking and yes im probably over thinking it.

I hope he felt my 👍🏽 was dissatisfing when he would of been seeking praise.

He could feel guilty and knows he messed up and cheated and probs added the "hi how are you" onto the message to make the message sound nicer. You deserve better. Go get someone that treats you well.
