Why is my ex stalking my Instagram from his fake account? Read description?

He told me about his fake account when we were still together around 2 years ago. He forgets things so he must've forgotten about it but I remember and I'm 100% sure it's him. We broke up 6 months ago (accurately) when he cheated on me and said that he doesn't love me anymore. I took no time to move on because.. it was a toxic relationship and he used to tell me that I suck (as a person) and my voice squeakishly sucks (I sing) so I was rather happy that it was finally over. We didn't text or talk at all after breakup. He was the one to block me on Instagram and he followed me from his fake account before blocking me from the real one. In the six months, he never stopped looking at my stories and he unfollowed and then followed thrice at different times. My stories aren't even related to him or relationships. And my account is public.. I don't know why he stalks me.. at the moment I'm unfollowed by his fake account but he still views my stories everyday.

He’s aware that you’re watching and keep tabs and that’s why he keeps stalking. It’s not a fake account if you’re aware that he’s the person behind the account. A fake account is an account that no one knows about but the person who created the account. It’s not a finsta or a back up account that’s used to post random videos. If he was watching your videos from a “fake account” then you wouldn’t be aware because you would have no idea that it’s him behind that account. You may come to the assumption that there’s a possibility that could be him but not certain.

I have the same problem with my ex and it has been 3 years. I can't get rid of him even though we are not on good terms. He still stalks me on here, posts anonymously to my questions (I know it's him because it contains hints of info that only someone who knows me IRL would know). It's sickening and makes me so angry because all I want to do is be left alone and not harassed by him.

I have honestly no idea why they do it, but if I had to guess I bet it has something to do with the loss of control. If they have up-to-date "info" about what is going on in our lives they can judge us and make themselves feel better by pretending they are a part of our lives.

I wish I could tell you that it gets better but I am still waiting...
