Opinion on ghosting?

So i was seeing someone for about a month and a half and he up and ghosted me do guys do this because something better shows up or did I do somethinh someone help

The guy and i met on an app and I talked to him every day one day he went roller skating out of the blue and then his communication started dwindling to nothing I reached out for days trying to make sure he was ok due to exhisting health reasons and yet the last and only text I got was "I can't do this im sorry im done"

Ghosting someone is the cowardly way to end communication because those people usually don't have the guts and courage to tell it to the other person on a face-to-face basis.

It is only a reflection of the type of character and personality that person has and that means that there is not much to them. Cowardice is something that shows a lack of courage to face a situation.

Cowardice is not the sole prerogative of men. There are a number of females that display the same type of courage. It is a disease of our sick society and the result of the expansion of social media where courage and dignity is no longer required.

I think we will need a whole lot more detail to properly give advice. There isn’t much context. Can you use the update box to describe the situation?

Guys (and girls) do this “ghosting” for any number of reasons. This is why it is hard to answer without more details. He could have done it for any number of reasons.

He may have found someone else. There could have been a catastrophic life event. He may just be busy. Etc etc.

I would love to give some more definitive advice if you could give more detail. That is, if you are comfortable doing so.

Thanks for the update! That is most unusual. I’m not sure what health condition he has but perhaps that is the reason he said that? If he has something serious, it may have taken a turn for the worse. That is so sad if it did.

If that is not the reason, sounds like things didn’t click and wasn’t meant to be. That happens. I’d like to say reach out one last time but with the details in the update, I’d advise against it. Sounds like it is over. So sorry to hear this.

it was only a month or so. once you get ghosted after a year, shit hurts. but a month, i wouldn't be too upset. did you even meet him?

I think it is definitely situational, I know the very few times I've ghosted it was to get out of what seemed to be heading in the toxic direction.
