Why is my ex still talking about me?

My ex cheated on me and left me for another women. But she messaged me today and said he still talking about me every day and that she feels he is still in love with me. But I’ve tried to contact him and I’ve tried to talk to him and he won’t allow it. My question is why does he talk about me, what is left to say? He left me and I tried to make things work and he didn’t want that. So why is he talking about me smh.
