So I am Italian and I would say this is a tough question... but how traditional in terms to culture is the man? One would assume Indian men would be less likely to divorce, but that does not mean it would be for good reasons. I lived in Italy for 8 years, and although most are Catholic, they are not strictly traditional... not any more than most traditionally catholic women are.

With said that said, I have known women who married Turks and Indians and even though they were divorced, the were very uncomfortable about going to India or Turkey because some of the laws a traditionally dominated male society. It very hard to get access to your children as the mother if you divorce them and they take the the children to their home country. That is what happened in both cases, she filed for divorce and the man took the kids back to their home country before everything was finalized and there was no way for them get their kids back given the laws. No way to enforce child custody regardless of what the courts ruled in her own home country.

I was madly in love with her. I loved holding her, feeling her nuzzle her head in my chest. That long black hair, strong scent of insence on her... She cooked like a goddess, too. For whatever reason she was scared of love... I dont know. After two years of only seeing each other, I told her i love her. She freaked out, ghosted me, and eventually moved away. Hurt like hell. She was very afraid and untrusting of men. My guess she was sexually abused at some point in her past. I dunno, maybe you can tell me.

@mobiusforniner i think that it was a cultural problem. We’re taught from an early age not to trust men or even get too close due to the strong presence of rape culture in our home country. Even then when you told her you loved her I think she might have loved you too, but perhaps her parents weren’t willing to let her marry a white man. This might have been her way of protecting you in some odd fort of way. But then again, you might be right too. I still think she didn’t want to go against her parents. I wouldn’t.

She was very close to her family. I even bought gifts for her parents. She was so hot-cold with me. I think you're right. Im married with kids now. But i think about her a lot. Friends say she's still single... but hey, I learned to love indian food and people, so thats a plus

Yes, but in India 98% of marriages are arranged. That is mostly to differentiate Indian men living in America and not in arranged marriages, versus every other Indian man who is most likely in an arranged marriage whether they are in America or not.

Well I’m guessing more Indian guys are married to Indian women than white guys so overall I’d guess the Indian men going to divorce more Indian women than white guys do.

Yes, but that’s 11%. Stilll more than the reserves of the US, UK and Switzerland combined! But no, that’s not how it works, really. You get lots of jewellery shops and it’s not as expensive as you think so it depends on the guy and how much communication they have,
