Unblocked but no contact?

Why would my ex go out of their way to unblock me but not try to contact me? Doesn't make sense.

Why does unblocking someone automatically mean they’re going out of their way? I’ll never get that... Like does it seem like some huge hassle or major effort to tap a button? In boredom I’ve perused my block list, and it’s not a chore? Not trying to make you feel bad I’m just like huh?

I also don’t think it translates as an oh I miss you... it’s just a passive thing. I’ve unblocked an ex for no reason other than to show I’m not mad or upset anymore.

Thank you, that makes sense. It was just within a span of a month after a fight. Plus we were together for 5 years. Maybe that's why I'm thinking like that.

Gotcha, I hope my question didn’t come across as trying to make you feel bad! I was genuinely just like why does this happen? Lol. But really, maybe you should be the blocker... like ditch the ex entirely. I’m sure you parted ways for a reason, and that reason didn’t change in a month. He’s got nothing new to say, at least not yet. I see it’s been 5 years, that’s a lot of history, but don’t keep yourself attached because of history or hopes for the future..
