Trending & News I got dumped by a guy I was unhappy with in my last relationship in 2018 and now I think it's good we broke up. We were not compatible in personality or faith or goals. I did not like his personality, I was just lonely. He wasn't evil, but very immature.
I am focused on building my life so I can attract guys more easily. My friends say, don’t chase the guy, chase a better version of yourself and a guy will come.
I did but I stupidly went back to them because I didn't want my "investment" to keep on failing and I wanted desperately to have a family with someone I had already built so much with/had a history with.
Lesson here was that was dumb, and an ex is an ex for a reason. I told someone online that before. I should have taken my own advice lol.
Time, commitment, memories. The least of importance really was the money as we were BOTH pretty much broke at the time lol. But Time, like they say, you can NEVER get back! My "youth" lol (even though I was 32 and he was 40), I can't get back, stuff like that. I spent one year off and on with him, almost 5 years broken up the first time. Then we met one more time in 2020 and even THAT didn't work out. I truly tried my best to show him love and commitment, but he just basically took it for granted. I feel he loved HIMSELF more than me. I wish he would have told me that, as I am/I was, no mind reader! He also made things hard for me a lot of the time and was abusive, both physically and psychologically. I had THAT low of a self esteem, but now I feel I could look at it as that I was THAT desparate to be a wife and mother that I overlooked a lot of the crap he did! However, don't get me wrong, I too was guilty of overstaying putting up with a lot of his crap, and I also was abusive to him a few times, but nothing like what he did I feel. Nobody's perfect, but I feel I should have known when enough was enough, and when to let go, but I didn't because my desperation to finally be a wife and mother was that strong, and I thought he truly loved me deep down! It was pretty confusing. Either that, or I was THAT blind because of my desparation! This all occurred from the age of 32 to 38 by the way. He was 40 to 47.
All that, plus when I was younger, I tended to let my "downstairs" (if you know what I mean) make a lot of the decisions for me. 😞
Most are lucky escapes. I look back on so many and think wow GOD thank you for not allowing this to move forward.
No. I can not say I have had regrets in relationship termination.

I was seeing a guy who I had strong feelings for. Eventually he disguarded me. He had narsistic traits. So although it hurt , still does, because I was foolish to be taken in by him, I do believe I had a lucky escape. He'd be a horrendous husband or long-term partner because of his cycles of narcisstic abuse
Sadly I know many women and men have their love for demons.
Worse is when you let go and thry won't
no bc im single
