The flashbacks are the worse as they come upon you suddenly without warning. One minute you're folding laundry and the next you are reliving a happy memory. The pain you feel at missing them is equal if not greater than the happiness you had at the time. But multiplied as you don't want to look/ because you know how it ends 🎶.

Fastfoward almost 10 years later - if I catch a wiff of her perfume, I whence in slight discomfort. But I have memorialized my past relationships and have accepted the new reality of them no longer being a part of my story. My life is way better now.

But before I would crumble at certain sights, smells and sounds like certain songs we sang.

Nope, I don't miss him. Though I can think of "This should've been my boyfriend now" then i remember how painful it was to be his girlfriend, so I wouldn't miss him
