Ex “accidentally” calls me?

My ex just called me after not talking to eachother for a couple of weeks. I’m trying to get him out of my head so I can move on.
Well, he called me a few minutes ago and I’ve asked him “did you mean to call?”
He responded back with “no I’m sorry, hit the wrong button.” as soon as I texted him.

If I accidentally called someone, I would’ve hung up before it notified as a missed call.
It rang 2 times, so I answered and told him I would call him back then I ended the call myself.
Am I thinking too much about this?

It may not make sense in your mind but don’t over think it. I’ve dropped my phone and called people I haven’t talked to in years, shit happens. Anyway don’t call back, he didn’t ask you to and there’s no reason, so keep doing the work to get him out of your head, block him and move on.
