Do you keep photos of your ex?

When your in a relationship with someone you make memories, maybe you traveled a lot or had a home together, adopted a dog… what do you do once you’ve split? Good terms and bad terms. Do you delete everything? Only keep the ones with you or others in them? Keep ‘em? I am just curious what everyone’s point of view on this.
And how would you feel if you found out that who you’re dating now has photos of their ex hidden away? With my ex’s I didn’t care what he’d held on to from last relationships, that was between them I just don’t want to see it. I’m not a fan of someone hung on an ex but I also don’t think keeping those memories means they’re hung up on them.

For me, hell I was married 22 years and I have like very few photos of my ex anywhere other than family photos. I didn't hang on to any of it honestly. Same with my girlfriends, once I move on, I move on. I don't do social media so it's pretty easy for me to do that. I just delete everything off the phone, and I don't do social media so it's pretty easy for me. I have all my good memories in my head and heart, so going back latter and looking at the photos only reminds me of how it ended.

As far as woman I have dated, I don't care if they still have old photos... I mean that would be childish. Like she didn't have a life before me? I have had lot of fun times with the women I traveled with and did things with, so what if she has photos of her life, who cares? Just because I don't keep them for my own reason, does not mean she doesn't have her own perspective on her own life, right?

Now if I walked into her house and she still has pictures on display, in frames, on the walls of her and her exs... well that would be a little weird to me. Just like I don't like dating woman that still have exs as freinds that they hang out with. It's one thing to split amicable and still be freinds, it's another thing to break up and still hang out together and spend time together. Keeping old photos is one thing, but if it was one of these awkward relationship situations... automatic RED FLAG!

Ah yes, if the photos were out in the open I’d think they’re still hung up on their ex and I have no interest in a man who is hanging in to someone they aren’t with!! I despise my ex husband and am disgusted when I find photos of him, I only keep the ones that are with our kids for my kids.

Somewhere in the dark receses of my closet is an envelope of pictures I had from before I was married. It is really the only artifact. I have from that Era. There is a few pictures of my ex girlfriend in there. I know where it is but have not looked at it in many years

i might keep them if the relationship ended well and as long as i'm single. i did keep pictures of ex's for nostalgia in those cases.
