Is it normal for ex’s to keep photos of you?

My ex still has photos of me on his phone. We really didn’t date for a long time. But I’m not sure how to feel about it. To me, it seems kind of weird or is it normal? I never kept any pictures of him on my phone. But he recently he texted me and we had a brief conversation. But in that conversation he brought up an old picture of me and said I was beautiful. I guess I didn’t think he would keep my pictures. (It was just a normal picture)

It's normal as far as I'm concerned.
I have photos of a couple of girlfriends from back in the day. They were so pretty back then.
I wish I had photos of all my girlfriends, but there were no cell phones back then, so you had to use a camera. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures.

Photos are nothing but mementos from the past, like vacation photos or something.
