My boyfriend kept a picture of his ex in a shirt of his on his social media and he had given me that shirt saying it meant a lot to him. As well as group photos and kissing photos. Am I overthinking it?

This is my opinion and probably not felt by many but... I think our lives are just seconds on a clock that once they have happened you can't go back and change.. I have pictures with all my exs because although we may not be together now those moments happened and were a part of my life that I enjoyed in some way.. You should be able to look at a picture of you and an ex together and remeber that great time you had skating that once and also remember those things that were not so good. The shirt thing is overthinking. He gave you his favourite shirt.. Notice she is not still wearing it... Maybe he has some weird doll fetish and likes to dress women in the same outfit but more likely he just likes the shirt and likes to share what he likes with people he likes.. I think you need to focus on real world signs of interest and less on what time has accumulated on his social media

It depends. There are a few I keep on there only bc it's the only pic of a major promo and it would be asinine to derail professional promo for some sentimental bs. BUT I also burry it under a pile of new promo materials... so... there you go.

I think if the context is right, yeah. A group photo isn't about just him and her. Neither was the moment if there was a group. I wouldn't scrub my friends or family because my ex is in the picture.

Now, the other things would bother me. When I broke up with my now ex, it was amicable. Even so, I did not keep photos of he and I and I didn't even date someone else for over a year after we broke up. Still got rid of them.

Normal is a subjective term. Not everyone responded the same after a breakup. I still have a Pic in my house of woman I knew 30 years. ago. Of course, I couldn't tell you exactly where it's at.😆 and that's the point. She's a memory, one I don't want to forget. But that's ALL she is. If she was that near and dear to me I'd keep it in my wallet.

I can understand how you'd be bothered by it. But understand he gave YOU that shirt. That means he trusts you with his past memories. You could throw them away. Or you can keep them safe. Get it? If it really bothers you, say something. Tactfully of course. There's no exact way of knowing what he feels towards her, if anything. Like I say it could just be the memories of a time in his life. I dont know about normal. But I dont think there's anything wrong with it. If you have photos on facebook of your past, and you happened to do a really cool thing and your ex was there, and it was a great day, then I have no problem :)

If its a photo where you two are kissing, etc. then Id feel a bit weird about it, especially if you're on facebook actively. If you're not, and it happens to be there and you forgot, then thats ok.
