Guy I've been seeing for 7 months says he's not ready to be exclusive and hides his ex from me. Should I wait?

We hit it off from the beginning and see each other 3 times a month.

He had just gotten out of a 6 year relationship a few months before so I understood he needed time. Overtime we've developed an emotional bond on top of the amazing physical chemistry.

After 7 months I told him I was ready to be exclusive, he said he's not ready yet. But we already act as if we are in a relationship.

His ex is in California (we're in New Jersey) and he said he's not planning to get back together with her so I figured he just needs time to get over it.

However, he left for a business trip out of state this week and I saw on HER social media that his ex is also there visiting him. He did not mention this to me. Is this an obvious sign that he is planning to get back together with her?

It's hard for me to ask him about it because technically he can do whatever he wants, but he also said there's a possibility to start a relationship in the future so I'm trying to figure out whether I should wait for him to get over his ex that he said he doesn't plan to return to or if I should move on.

I also looked through his phone and found they text all day and DM on different apps like IG and TikTok while I talk to him every 7 to 10 days or so.

Time will tell as they say & as for love it works in mysterious ways & hopefully it works out for you. As for the guy you have been seeing for seven months if he was ready to be exclusive I think he would see you more than three times in a month.
