Is it tacky to announce the end of your marriage through social media for those who did not know?

Is that stupid? My cousin former hubbye did that in order for people to stopped speculating or wondering about photos he had posted himself on social media with some other woman (The most stupid thing he can do, posting photos of him with a new chick on social media when many people he knew still believe he was married and did not know about he was no longer my cousin husband).

My cousin ex husband wrote one month ago like a poem on social media announcing it has been one year he and my cousin did not have a relationship. he caught many of us by surprise as we did not know they were no longer a couple that long, they camouflage it very well, beacuse he continue to attend from time to time family gatherings when he was no longer in a relationship with my cousin

So in that poem announcement the dude said he was writing that so people or family he had in common with his ex stopped wondering about the photos he had been posting on social media of him and another woman, and said that he already made a new life.

Nothing wrong with it. It must have been annoying as hell having people speculate. He might have even been getting dozens of DM's about it so he took the opportunity to shut people up by announcing in on social media where everyone would see

Probably he and my cousin had this so hidden the family never ever figure it out they had been apart for one year and we did not supect of anything beause the guy kept attending our family gatherings like nothing was happening. Really? What a hypocrite the man is. And of course since now the word is out that he is no longer with my cousin. Now he keeps posting photos of him with the chick often on social media, hugging her, kissing her, etc or attending parties.

I mean what else was he supposed to do? Call up everyone he knows and tell them? Why not be mad at your cousin for not telling you or your family?

I mean is ok they manage that privately is their business i was just asking if it was takcing to annoucne the end of a relatiosnhip over Facebook and mentioning he alreayd is seeing another lady because he started to post photos of him and the other woman on social media so people who did not know may wonder what the heck was going on, the reason he used Facebook to announce it and tell everyone, Im seeing another lady and my relationship with the cousin ended one year ago already.

he kept the separation in silence he never got the word of mouth out but im sure people suspect somthing wrong was going with my cousin when he started to post and make viral photos of him and anotehr woman in compromising situations, like hugging her, drawing hearts, wrting romantic messages. What a immature douche!!
