People with divorced parents, do you wish you weren’t from a broken home?

I do. I don’t really have much of a relationship with my parents because of their divorce.

I know my cousins were orphans and my father took care of them too. They for some reason still hated him and us his own children.

Still, I can tell you that one time my cousin was upset and he said if his father was alive he would have been in much better economic conditions. To which my father aid, "You don't even know how he was, (he had a normal career and couldn't afford things)"

I hate to say this but I Revere my father next to a Prophet and my sister in anger once said same and I can't say no to him like all my siblings can. But I find this a lot harder that my father was in trouble and no one helped him get out and my cousins advocated bribes over right path. And I feel I can't follow in his footsteps

I'm sorry you were put in that position. I'm fortunate to have been raised in an intact family and have a good relationship with my parents, but I have / had friends whose parents were divorced and it was easy to see the affects it had on them. Kind of heartbreaking to see.

Parents aren’t divorced but I never met my dad. I often wonder what things would have been like having a father. I wouldn’t have to pick up the slack and play the father role for my younger brother since his dad chose alcohol over him and also left.

It would’ve taken the load off of my shoulders. I’ve been playing father figure since I was 16. Our mom is disabled now so it’s difficult alone.

My dear you are tired. But I can tell from experience the amount of pain and happiness we will get in this life is decided for us. So even with a father may be you could have met some other tragedy.

The worst part is I am the youngest and I always thought the young ones get it easy but it's the total opposite.
Even for marriage I am being pushed while I get angry and tell my parents to tell my brother to grow up and get married and they say, you are the we will get married our way. For him and my sisters it's no issue.

And worst part I now can't even talk to my siblings. I feel growing distant with my family. I don't even want to tell them how I feel.

Don’t give into them, it’s your timeline so ultimately you have control over it even if they do keep on to you.

I don't have a choice. I don't feel like I have a choice except wait for good times. Worst thing is they deliberately make me things go prolong on purpose
