Is this considered a rebound?

I broke up with my ex back in January due to his cheating. I met another guy who I wasn’t attracted to in June. I wasn’t over my ex and still hurt by what he did so I got to know this other guy. You know the saying.. get under someone to get over someone. It wasn’t going to be anything maybe just sex. However after getting to know the guy I started to truly like him and after seeing other pictures of him he appeared more attractive to me. Seeing this guy helped me get over my ex and I’m more into him now.

Originally yes, but its transitioning into something real. But I also know my body does the same thing, whoever is that special person for me my visual attraction adapts. So while the general gist of who I find pretty doesn't change, my preferences do adjust more towards whoever I am with or who I was with last since my mind will associate her with what I seek.

So can be in part that your adapting towards finding him more attractive since you like him now, which may or may not last. But I do think you should keep pursuing it since its heading in the right direction.

yes. a few things that you did that make me believe so:
you weren't attracted to this new guy you met.
you were not over your ex and still hurt.
since you were still hurt and needing comfort, you got to know the other guy.
used sex to try to forget your ex, not healthy.

the positives now are that you actually like the new guy now and are assumingely over your ex, but it was built on kind of a toxic foundation. does he know about any of this? if the roles were switched, would you be upset that someone used you as a rebound to get over the ex, was never really attracted to you, until quite a few months later?

It was a rebound, but now it has turned into something more meaningful. It happens.

Same thing with my current relationship of 9 years, he was a rebound and I’ve told him that 😂 at the time he was very sickly and I didn’t feel attraction, but after living with me and me feeding him and buying his workout equipment he’s huge 🏋🏻 🥵

It definitely is a rebound but that doesn’t mean the relationship is doomed to failure. Just go with it and see what happens.
