As for her mom still talkin to you, my guess is she sees there's two sides to every story. Especially if her daughter has some mental health stuff goin on, mom's probably witnessed some concerning behavior over the years.

She could be curious how you're holding up after all that mess. Or maybe she feels a little bad how things ended and you got treated. Either way, seems like she ain't buyin her daughter's side 100%.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Just be polite back if you see the mom but keep things surface level. Hopefully she'll get the hint you don't wanna dredge all that drama up again.
