If a ex followed me on TikTok, should I follow him back?

is he trying to communicate with you or only follow you? do you actually post on there? does he? if not, then there really isn't a reason to follow. tiktok shows people in your phone contacts that are on tiktok, maybe he just followed all that popped up. who knows. i don't think it's that deep. if you want to, then cool. if not, also cool

He did reach out but I didn't respond. He only asked if he could text me. I post on TikTok but he doesn't. I considered following him back because I know him and it's just social media.

You could follow back, or not. It depends on how you feel about it. The ex has no input there.
I would think there was a reason for the relationship ending. For that reason, I'd think twice before opening what could be seen by the ex as an avenue to get together again. Also, it could develop into a cyberstalking situation, and that would be harmful to you in my opinion.

It's likely he might think that. It doesn't seem to be a healthy follow that he is doing, so I'd still think twice before opening any dialog or showing any interest in what he is doing with his life.
Then again, if you want to give him a second chance, and/or potentially opening the door to reconcilement, then that is your choice.
My thought is do what best takes care of you.

I don't know. I made a mistake in the question. He wasn't really an ex but more like a person who liked me and we used to talk. We had like a huge falling out.
