Poll- If a boyfriend doesn’t meet your family do you stay with him or break up?

if you are going on dates for 2-4 years and he still denies makes excuses to not meet family & to not spend holidays like Christmas together , what would you do?
show up to holidays single alone with family and everyone arrives with their boyfriend?
stay and wait more years til you meet family?
dump him?

argue with him and he still denies?

not gonna lie, that's pretty weird to be dating for that long and not meeting your family... plus to not even spend holidays together. if you talked about it with him and he denies it or still doesn't change, i'd be questioning if you two were even in a relationship

That happened to me but I had zero experience in ever having a boyfriend so that’s y it created that situation. But now as im 26 I left that guy and learned from my mistake.

I would be confused why couples meet family so fast and not me why i would be alone single.

But I guess there’s no such thing as having a relationship and being alone, being alone means you’re single.

Now I fear as when I do get an offical boyfriend , he will deny meet family and deny show you with me to family events. I’m fearful now

if your ex did that, he's a douche. just gotta learn from that experience and make sure future relationships aren't like that.
i think if you get the right guy, he's nice and friendly and loves you, he will want to meet with your family and spend time with you on holidays. you will eventually be treated well.
if the new future boyfriend denies meeting family, ask him why, and then say it's very important to you and a dealbreaker if he doesn't want to meet your family.

Yea my first boyfriend has to meet family or else he can’t be with me at all.
I’m just sad as I’m 26 and I’m too late to have a first boyfriend. I wish I could of experienced meeting family since I was 18

You're with him for over two years and he still doesn't want to meet your family? He's just keeping you around for sex. You need to move on. Most couples meet each other's families after about 6 months of dating exclusively.

So if girl stays she’ll spend 2-5 years or more attending fmaily events and holidays alone single while everyone shows up with their boyfriend? It makes no sense.

Should of dropped him after 6 months

Yes I don't know y I didn’t do that. Instead in that time I tried find new guy and no new guy appeared in my life. Then after more time we began dating and I thought dating many years was a long term relationship and love. Then I began find it weird why all girls r with bfs holidays and I’m alone and why girls r with bfs daily and I’m alone only see him 1x a wk? Then June last year I finally leave him & that’s wen my crush appear at my job. For first time in long time I have a crush but we cudnt meet that time as we worked different schedules. Then begining August he quit so we never met.

Then end novemebr he appear returned to job and we met talked be going decmeber. We spent 3 days together at his work break getting along very well like couple, but then the overtime ended and Christmas break happeend and we got seperated

I would spend his 10 min work break with him for 3 days cuz my shfit would end when his night shfit would take their first break. That was when I had overtime. But after those 3 days overtime ended , Christmas break happened and I regret not fast give him my number before Christmas

So we hav this distance janairy. Janairy no more overtime which means we don’t see the night shift anymore. I’ve tried wait few times for him even tho my shift ends early now but unable see him arrive to job as people arrive different sides daily it hard match with him

But hope any day now we can meet again so I give him my number. And don’t think he’ll be same guy as ex. My crush is nice and more mature. I don’t think he’ll use me for sex like that other guy.
