We we're in a relationship for 5 and a half years. 1 year LDR. He's supposed to go home in a few months. He broke up with me so suddenly. We talked about our issues for a week then he ignored me for another week and then called me to end it - blocked me then.

Because he is having a hard time moving on , he realized he wasn’t getting lucky being single so now he is trying to check in on you and see how you are doing , My advice to you is to not take him back period , Because if you both truly loved each other you both wouldn’t of walked away from each other to begin with , when someone can walk away from a relationship that person is a selfish person that only thinks about what is best for themselves , They never considered your feelings in that relationship, that relationship was only what was best for them , So whoever walked away first was the selfish person. Realize you deserve better than that , you deserve someone that wouldn’t walk away from you period. Taking an ex back is like trying to reheat Mcdonald French fries in a microwave, it will never be the same lol
