So i dated this guy a few years back. We dated from December 2020 to February 2021 but we talked for two months before we got together and he broke up with me because I would not have sex with him.. I don’t wanna have sex with someone until I know it’s gonna work out. Well it’s been three years since I cut contact with him and yesterday he followed me on Instagram… why does he suddenly wanna follow me? I been wrecking my brain about it… I still care about him a lot. Any advice? Or any ideas? I haven’t accepted it…

- It's been 3 years, so maybe he's just curious how you're doing or what you've been up to since he last saw your life on social media. People do that sometimes after time has passed.

- Could also be he has some regret about how things ended between you. Maybe he realizes now that there was more to your relationship than just physical stuff.

- Or he may still have lingering feelings and is hoping to reconnect now that some time has given him perspective.

- However, be cautious. Make sure he's not just looking for a hookup since it's been a while. Protect your heart!

My advice would be don't automatically accept the follow right away. Let him wonder a bit. Then if you do, watch how he acts - is it just casual liking photos? Or does he try slipping into your DMs right off? His intentions will become clear pretty quick.

If he seems genuinely interested in talking and catching up as people, maybe give him a chance. But go slow and set your boundaries upfront this time around. Make sure he respects you. But this could be an opportunity for closure or maybe even a fresh start if the timing feels right. Just listen to your gut! You've got this girl.

They do this. They let some time pass and then test the waters to see if they can get a clean slate. Normally i’ll entertain it but still tell them we’re never getting back together. And thats just my ego. Deep down i may actually want to give it another go but i just can't bring myself to. Remind yourself of why y'all didn't workout and go for better unless you think they truly changed. I rarely feel people change. It always comes across like a temporary fix. I have had to end it with a lot of guys because they wanted sex way sooner than i did

To see if you would accept him back. Maybe he thinks that you’re gonna bring him back into your life to see if you’re ready to have sex with him. Seems to me like he was a jerk for getting upset with you just cause you didn’t have sex with him. 🚩 A guy that’s in love with you and respectful wouldn’t get upset and would wait for you whenever you’re comfortable.
