Many times lol 😅 I've been the person to break up with all of my past relationships. Thankfully never experienced heartbreak. But for the reason why, one I felt was moving too fast, another I felt like he wasn't putting in enough effort for what I was worth, the others I just didn't think were gonna work out long term or I wanted to be single and have fun.

Yes, I broke up with my previous boyfriend because I wanted to settle down and he was never ready. I wasn't willing to waste any more time.

I broke up with her because she manipulative and abusive.
One was more of a mutual break up so I don't know if that counts. I have nothing bad to say about her, we just weren't compatible together.

Then you are hurting other people whose only crime was to fall in love with you! That is a VERY UNFAIR thing to do to someone. You need to stop dating and get into some deep therapy to find out WHY you have such a lousy opinion of yourself. The general psychology of a person like you is, "Since I'm not worth anything, then anyone who could want me can't be worth anything, either," so you dump them. The other side of the same coin is, "If I let him get too close to me, he's going to find out what I'm REALLY like, and then he won't want me and he'll dump me, so I'd better dump him first.!" You're wrong on both counts, and as I said, it's completely unfair to do that to someone.
One clue: There is a principle in psychology that, if you see someone who has a history of repeated divorces, or romantic breakups, look at the relationship of that person with the parent of the opposite gender while growing up. How did you see your dad interact with your mom? Did you dad ever imply to you, for example, that he would rather have had a son, but he was disappointed because he had a daughter (you) instead? I was victimized over 50 years ago by a girl who had that kind of a relationship with her dad. She tried and tried to please him, and became a real overachiever in life, but she could never be the one thing that her father wanted, which was a son! She left a bloodied series of ex-boyfriends in her wake, including me! This is one possibility, but there are others.
You REALLY need to get with a good deep therapist who will cut through the crap and zero in on what your problem really is (you may want to quit therapy because it's uncomfortable when this happens, but keep going, because otherwise you'll keep on doing the same thing). And don't date anyone until you're really ready to leave the past behind. - 8 mo
@Keyboardkat that's a lot of words for me to tell you that i don't date anymore

Iโve heard the whole.. โI donโt deserve happiness or loveโ .. claim before.
It comes from a victim mentality. Also from a narcissist. Narcissists are known to play the victim card, and constantly pull the victim card.
Arenโt men supposed to have BALLS ๐๐, and keep their baby feelings to themselves?
Like Iโm not sure what type of response you (an adult) want from me, (another adult)

Okay, I was just trying to help, since I've seen this before and was personally on the receiving end of it from someone I really cared for.

so to clean this up. i don't date and haven't since my 20 somethings. i can't fix myself. and it's stupid to think a random woman can when psychologists can't. so i try to live a good life on my own without people pushing me to engage with other people. i have apologized to those from my past. they totally understand. i won't delude your thoughts. i want a connection. i just don't know from where.
- 8 mo
That was disgusting and reprehensible and uncalled for. I've been happily married for 53 years and I don't need to suck anybody's anything, for your kind information. I and would NEVER have any interest in you! I was TRYING to be helpful in giving from my wisdom and life experience. If you are too thick-skulled or stubborn or self-absorbed to benefit from that or appreciate it, that's on you and nobody else.

@Keyboardkat she's probably the ugliest person emotionally i've met on this site. she keeps changing her name which i keep blocking. so don't feel bad about her little jabs. she's got her own emotional problems that she doesn't want to deal with. i could probably be her friend if she ever opened up about her insecurities, but i know it's hard for everyone individually.

Yes I have. . I
Probably knew it before the relationship didn't started that we weren't meant to be nothing more than friends. . . And I usually stick to my guns when I feel something like that.
Just because if a relationship starts. There's always going to be one person that gets hurt and then not want to be friends so for me.
I have to wait it out what's more important friendship or getting naked and having sex that's basically being selfish and I don't like being that way because I don't like the end result00 Reply- 8 mo
Yeah, I broke up with both my boyfriend's first one because he was ignoring me and many other issues the second one because he got into the wrong crowd and doing this I didn't agree with.
