I heard that air fryers definitely melt counters. i have forbade spouse from using the counter so she used the microwave as a counter. That could melt too. spouse says I have been doing it this way for a year and you never said a word and nothing happened. lost my phone. My spouse found it and told me where it was. I think Spouse hid phone on purpose. Which started another fight. Spouse ended up sleeping in the car. then I woke up to ask why the landline was off the hook. I know spouse did it. most people have granite and marble counters or Corian i don't think an air fryer is going to do any damage

the damage from an air fryer is the toxic fumes from the plastic it lets out into the house. the Instant Pot air fryer is the worst

Maybe you can simple put some cork or other type of heat resistent coasters on the counter for hot things like the airfryer.
