Guys, What do you think of this concept?

I've said on this site that monogamy is a failed experiment, and I stand by that. The divorce rate and the cheating rate is off the charts. I'm celibate, so this is just a question for you guys who are still in the game. A fella told me his parents had the best marriage. It was a happy family. And it was well known that his parents never had sex together. Sex was farmed out to third parties. It wasn't even a secret. The kids knew about this. Ask any divorce lawyer and they will tell you that the two biggest reasons for divorce is sex and money. They cut that in half. I just wonder about stuff.

The entire concept of monogamy is simply not real , so whatever works , just works..

The thing is with Money being the main cause , yet virtually everyone ends up worse off , the whole concept of a monogamous marriage is quite sickening. The absolute easiest women to get are those who are married , its speaks for itself.

My parents got divorced when I was in high school. My father cheated on my mother. It soured me on marriage for a long time.

My best friend had been married 4 times but seeing that made me want to do the opposite. I took the whole "till death us do part" pretty literally. I made sure i married somebody with the same attitude. It is not always easy and sometimes I wanted to be single again but I think it has been good a lot more than it was bad.

I think monogamy is RARE but I don't think it's dead or failed. I know enough people who are monogamous and happy to know that it comes down to commitment, which quite a few people have.
