Blindsided with a break up?

I was just blindsided by a breakup last week and am struggling to wrap my head around it. Everything was perfect, we never argued, had similar interests, got along so well with his family and friends. He treated me amazing and constantly told me how much he loved me.

One night last week he went on about how it was our anniversary, how lucky he was, and how much he loved me. 3 days later he told me he decided to break up with me.

What causes this? Any insight here?

Sorry. He's was never all that into you. He was good at loving you but all along he was looking for something different. Maybe he met someone who is closer to his ideal, or maybe he decided to stop wasting your time. Men often do this -- they don't want to be alone so they play boyfriend hoping that they will meet a woman and fall in love.

Yikes.. I'm sorry to hear this. Something must have fired him off. Was he having an affair? Were you having sexual problems like not enough sex?

what raises a bit of a red flag to me is the "we never argued, everything was perfect". i feel like he was holding things in and it could have built resentment. just a thought, i really don't know why he did. it is kind of weird that everything seemed "perfect". that can actually be a bit toxic

Not too perfect, otherwise this wouldn’t have happened….
