Why do cheaters always say "Im sorry I never meant to hurt you"?

This goes for men and women both. Cheaters always mean the harm they caused. They never cared in the first place. Love of anyone other than them selves is something they aren't capable of. I never understood that phrase, never understood how they thought it would make things okay.

Man dude that's just not cool what those cheaters do. Like I get everyone messes up sometimes but cheating on someone is just so low, you know? It's like they don't even care about how much it's gonna hurt the other person. And then to just say "sorry" like that makes it all okay? No way. If they were really sorry they wouldn't have done it in the first place. Once you break that trust it's basically broken for good I think.

I can imagine how pissed I'd be if it happened to me. Like all that time you spent together and thought they cared about you too just goes out the window as soon as they kiss someone else. And for what? Some fun in the moment that destroys everything afterwards. It just doesn't seem worth it to me. Don't they stop to think how you'd feel finding out? I'd lose all respect for someone after that, I really would. Sorry doesn't change what they did no matter what they say. Words are easy, actions are what really shows who you are. Once a cheater always a cheater is what they say, right? I'd definitely be done with anyone who messed with my head like that, that's for sure. It'd be hard to ever believe anything they say again after pulling a crappy move like cheating.
